God's Fellowship's Journal -- Day (original) (raw)
these are my thought's on Romans one.
Paul starts off by indrotucing himself and then he makes sure that the romans know how much they mean to him. He tells them how much he loves them and how much he wants to hangout with them. I think that is a good model for any fellowship.
Another thing that strikes me is that he's that wrath is being revealed in verse 18. But he says it's not a wrath on people, but their wickedness and godlessness. I think that is an intersesting point.
Than he says some stuff that is hard to understand completely and leads to tons of questions. Questions I don't beleive there is a definitve answer to. I'm talking about verse's 19 through 21. I also think it's cool that he talks about animeists in the next couple verses.
After that it goes into a description of godlessness. And the first thing he talks about is sexual impurity. Homosexualility. than he has a really long list that will convict any of us.
he says because we don't think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of god we become all sorts of badthings. these are people who have heard the gospel but don't think that it is anything more than a story. Or that just don't think they need god, which is all of us at one point or another. than he says that all of us deserve death.
That's what i got out of it.
