In fact, relationship between structure and function can be varied in different states. After presentation of the Linear Structure-Function Model based on the Clementsian succession theory, another conceptual model was proposed to modify it based on more realistic State and Transition theory. While previous models mostly suppose one single function in their simulations, in this article, we suggest a conceptual model that summarizes the relationships between Ecosystem Structure and Multiple Functions (ESMF) in various states. The model can be useful for rangeland managers to get a rather correct understanding about multiple functions in rangelands. By this right understanding, the rangeland managers will be able to identify the best states for their ecosystems and try to reach to these states which can provide totally maximum benefits. This model shows that some functions in rangelands may conflict with or overlapped each other and some functions may not show a meaningful relationship with structure in ecosystems so that it is a very important task for managers to choose the states with the highest benefits and less conflict.

Using a random sampling method, a sample size of 168 farmers was selected in the Sari County, Iran. Our results showed that economic, self-sufficiency, environmental, and social goals have a distinctly different impact on cropping pattern performance. Compared to the current cropping pattern, the gross margins for economic and social goals increased by nearly 11 and 2 %, respectively, and the gross margins for self-sufficiency and environmental goals decreased by nearly 2 and 36 %. Interestingly, it has been found that the performance of the current cropping pattern has an average positive impact of 6 % if economic, self-sufficiency, environmental, and social (employment) goals are realized simultaneously.

This makes design of multi-regional model of cultivation of crop products necessary. This model should be pervasive and integrated in one hand and separable in accordance to the region. Moreover this model shall be able to recognize the resources possessed in common between areas of region as well uncommon resources between areas. Separating a model based on area will increase model's precision for each area and superimposing these area models will results in trans-regional attitude. The result of this research shows that optimum cropping pattern will increase the total profit of regions, Babol, Babolsar, Qaemshahr, according to their show, 6.8%, 8.9%, 5.6%. Furthermore, use of multiregional model will increase the profit 8.5% to this condition and 1.4% to whole of regional models. The execution of this models result in reality is possible with optimal allocation of inputs.

From the perspective of European tourists, wilderness excursions have attractions and can be a significant source of revenue for the country, especially in the towns and villages in the desert. In classification of goods, deserts are in nonmarket goods categories and have accordingly no market price and there is no benchmark for comparison with other commodities. This study is to determine the recreational value of Sadiq Abad Desert in the city of Bafg in Yazd and to measure willingness to pay for recreation in this area using contingent valuation and dimensional dichotomous choice questionnaire. To evaluate the effect of explanatory variables on the willingness of people to pay, a logarithmic logit model was used and parameters used in the model are estimated using maximum likelihood. Results have shown that 67.13 % of the subjects in this study were willing to pay the entrance fee. Average willingness to pay per person for recreational use of wilderness is obtained 38520 rials per month. In other words, each family is ready to pay 294,501,529 of annual income per household for a walk in the desert. The annual recreational value of wilderness Sadeqabad is estimated at 963,020,000. Accordingly, the results suggest an important role of deserts in society leisure and city managers are obliged to respect the opinions of visitors to wilderness areas, moreover these deserts can be very economical for the revenue plan.

Regarding to that for more precise planning in agricultural sector, the relevant growth factors should be known; in this research, in was attempted to analyze the components of this growth by an appropriate approach. For this purpose, using of a non-parameteric approach named as multiplicative decomposition method and based on the data of time-series during 1991/92 -2010/2011 , for the agricultural products in Golestan province, the growth of the agri-products value were decomposed to price growth, area growth, yield growth and changing cropping pattern and the effect of each factors were determined. The results show that the value of agricultural products in this province during the studied period had not always an incremental trend and had some fluctuations, but the main factor of this growth is the price growth. After these factors, the most important factor to create the growth, are the yield, the area, and the cropping pattern. In sum, these results represent lack of an appropriate improvement in land productivity growth as well as the cropping pattern of the region in Golestan province.

In this study, the history of the application of mathematical programming models in agriculture is provided firstly, and then given the restrictions for linear programming and goal programming models, a fuzzy goal programming model is used for optimizing cropping patterns under three scenarios. The objectives of this study include profit (Gross Margin) maximizing, achieving self-sufficiency and achieving self-sufficiency of essential agricultural products and profit maximizing simultaneously. Maximizing the profit in micro level and achieving self-sufficiency in macro level are important. In this study in order to suggest an optimum cropping pattern using a two stage classified sampling method a sample size of 50 were selected from agriculture areas of Amol Township of Mazandarn province. Results of Fuzzy models (model 3) with the objective of profit maximization and self-sufficiency showed that implementation of optimum cropping pattern (model 3) will increase planned profit compared with model 2 (fuzzy model with objective of selfsufficiency) up to 142 billion Rials. At the same time, the area under cultivation of aromatic paddy, High yielding paddy, rain-fed barley and rain-fed canola will be 12582, 7844, 115 and 5444 hectare higher compared with the model 1 (fuzzy model with objective of profit maximization).
