Each year, from among 200 million pregnancies that occur in the world, more than one mother dies per minute due to the complications of pregnancy and childbirth. In general, 585 000 mothers die every year because of this problem (3). SRH is not merely related to women, but one of its critical aspects links with the role of men (4,5). These responsibilities could vary from healthy sexual relationships up to childbearing, proper decision-making and supporting in economic, social and mental health areas, feeding the child to the upbringing of the children, and applying preventive methods for unwanted pregnancy to other duties and supports (6,7). Although men are highly interested in contributing to the SRH of their wives, low-knowledge and inadequate information about women and the constraints of pr...

Methods In this study, we included inpatient with acute respiratory distress syndrome at Golestan Hospitals who had been discharged or had died in 2020. Epidemiological, and clinical data were extracted from electronic medical records and compared between recovered and died cases. We used multiple logistic regression methods to explore the risk factors associated with in-hospital death. Results Overall 2,835 acute respiratory distress syndrome patients were included in this study, and 874 (30.83%) were positive for 2019-nCoV. Five hundred and sixty-three patients (19.86%) died, 1,687 patients (59.51%) were recovered. Of the total deaths, only 288 (10.15%) were attributed to COVID-19. The most common symptoms at onset of illness were respiratory distress [1,795 (63.32%)], fever [1,601 (56.47%)], dry cough [1,595 (56.26%)], s...

Therefore, understanding the factors that affect the expansion of health insurance is important for policymakers. The study aimed at assessing the variables that affected the decisions to purchase health insurance in Iran. We analyzed data gathered from a national survey of health-care utilization in Iran that covered over 23,000 households. We identified subsets of the data that represented purchasing decisions. Increase in age, education, income, wealth, and the opportunity of working in the governmental sector increased the probability of purchasing BHI and CHI coverage. Past utilization of inpatient and outpatient care increased the probability of purchasing BHI and CHI, respectively. Evidence of adverse selection and wide socioeconomic differences in insurance purchase decisions were observed throughout the study. However, most significant factors were not easily influenced by policy decisions. The findings suggest that it might be very difficult to achieve universal insurance coverage unless nationwide nonvoluntary policies are implemented.

All individuals were followed from age 28 years until the age of death, emigration, or December 2009. Using Cox' regression analyses, we estimated HRs for mortality according to educational status. Results Both conventional cohort analyses and intra sibling analyses were carried out. Educational differences observed in the cohort analyses were attenuated in the intra-sibling analyses. Urban and migrant groups had higher levels of risk factors (eg, smoking-20.1% urban, 5.5% rural). No diabetes was seen in the rural dwellers who complained of possible/definite angina. Rural dwellers had a higher prevalence of mood disorder and the presence of a mood disorder was associated with possible/definite angina in all three groups, but not consistently with nonexertional chest pain. Conclusion Rural groups had a higher prevalence of angina as measured by Rose questionnaire than migrants and urban dwellers, and a higher prevalence of mood disorder. The presence of a mood disorder was associated with angina. The Rose angina questionnaire may not be of relevance to rural populations in developing countries with a low pre-test probability of coronary disease and poor mental health.
