Fuck it, I'm gonna sell every investment vehicle my money is locked away in - bar my pension. No more Individual Savings Accounts, no more Maximum Savings Plans, no more Venture Capital Trusts, no more shares.
I'm sick of not knowing what I have and what it's doing. My financial adviser couldn't gives two hoots about me if I'm not raking in commission for him - and I'm definitely not in control of all the things he sold me.
If I've done my sums right, I'm down something akin to £3,000 on this little misadventure - but it would unlock something like £15,000. Once that's done, I'll take a look at my pension, have my financial adviser removed from his role as my nominated agent, sort out my contributions with them directly and get an accountant to work out the resultant tax mayhem all of this will cause.
