Listens: Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here'
I don't do memes often - but here's that lyrics quiz meme...
- You feel a shaking on the ground, a billion candles burn around, is it your birthday?
- London's so nice back in your seamless rhymes but we're lost on the Westway
- When I tried to tell my story they cut me off to take a break; I sat silent five commercials - I had nothing left to say
- He sees angels in the architecture spinning in infinity; he says Amen! and Hallelujah!
- One little kiss isn't anything; you keep insisting on everything; I won't be sad
- Sick and tired of Maggie's farm, she's a bitch with broken arms to wave
- Line three I forget but I think, I think it was our first ever bet - and the horse we backed was short of a leg
- From that cloud, number nine, danger starts the sharp incline
- I get so tired working so hard for our survival; I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive
- Stalked in the forest, too close to hide, I'll be upon you by the moonlight side
- You've got a baby of your own; when your baby's gone, she'll be the one to catch you when you fall
- In Chinatown, hung over, you showed me just what I could do
- Back on the train I ask "Why did I come again?"; can I confess I've been hanging around your old address?
- I am thinking of your voice and of a midnight picnic once upon a time before the rain began
- Imagine the disturbance at the time of the occurrence; when his life became a burden we laughed at his cries
- Final execution and resurrection, free expression as revolution
- Come, dip on in, leave your bones, leave your skin, leave your past, leave your craft, leave your suffering heart
- Half of the time we're gone but we don't know where and we don't know where
- My watch has stopped, no more turning hands; the little hand shakes its fist, the face is hanging out on a spring
- Now she walks through her sunken dream to the seat with the clearest view and she's hooked to the silver screen
I've tried not to be too obscure just for the sake of it - and I did have to excise Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' because I couldn't find a lyric in it that I didn't think was completely obvious.
