Hey lanternlight, I think you might find this one interesting.
rushthatspeaks has been reviewing a book a day fro some time now, and every one is fascinating and is giving me the itch to read more. At the moment, I especially would love to track down this one, which is in a genre of feminist sci fi that I had never considered before and sounds wonderfully rich and well-written.

Day 12 – What’s in your bag, in great detail
I stole this off of armen because for once I think it might be something interesting from me, as I tend to be very boring in these meme things. I have a need to be prepared, and a very particular idea of what being prepared consists of--usually having things on hands to keep me occupied when I'm idle. I cannot sit still for very long unless focused on something, and sometimes even then--thecurtain can attest to my knee jogging and how often she smacks me about it when I sit next to her--and while I prefer a small, portable existence I always end up with a large bag of very specific bits and bobs I always keep on hand (unless I don't).
- 1 Sketchbook (often never filled to the last page), 5x4, smooth coat paper, refillable
- 1 Pencilcase (currently MIA, a pencil and an erasure are floating around down there right now), black, and reminiscent of the Japanese one I lost at some point that was purple and I LIKED DANGIT, with several pencils, pencil erasures, refillables, and a few pens
- 1 Wallet (for obvious reasons) that I have had since I started carrying a wallet in middle school, leather, with a broken chain attached
- 1 Japanese Electronic Dictionary, Casio Ex-Word Dataplus 4, (that apparently needs its batteries recharged oops), within its case
- 1 iPod, in case, with connector for the car and earbuds for my personal use and nearly always tangled up horrible
- 1 book, English or Japanese (currently MIA)
- 1 set of car keys plus all other keys (unless I am at home, or driving)on an old snap-hook and more bits and bobs from my mother's supplies
- 1 small purple notebook received as a gift ages ago from a friend, I'm not sure who anymore, used for jotting down whatever I need to jot
and if Photoshooting
- 1 HD/SD Card reader, in case, with 2 Artist Alley buttons keeping watch inside (APH England and APH Austiran Succession Prussia)
- 1 extra lens, whichever isn't on my camera
- 1 Camera, in bag, Canon Rebel, with 50mm 1.5 or kit lens attached
In other words, I am very bad at minimization, and somehow I always end up with a huge bag slung over my shoulder and awkwardly shifting through doorways. That bull in the china shop is me, and the clumsiness tends to add to the mess, though I do try and have yet to cause any true havoc of any kind, much to my relief.
Another one of those lists that I make so I don't go quietly crazy thinking over all of this

Stole this meme gleefully away from miawinner, considering that I have been sort of hit like mad upside the head with writing-urges and practice is good. Practice with an audience is better.

askjalksdhf and Yuletart Reveals!

There are no words that can fully explain the whirlwind that the past few weeks have been, other then 'amazing' and 'heart-warming' and akosdhflajkshd. The next two weeks should also be awesome! There are cookery and photo shoots and finally getting into PA to visit college roomies! All of the running around and fun has me missing my college suite mates of Epic Doom a hella lot and the only cure is a road trip. THUS.
In other news, 
yuletart reveals are up! I drew an image of Seiji, Touma, Shuten and Anubis standing around heroically for amyeyl! I had a great time working out the composition, and seeing all the love from Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors fans was an excellent bonus!
AND AND AND
I recieved a lovely Shakespeare-Much-Ado-About-Nothing image from zephre! It is amazing and the ARCHETECTURE and the BEATRICE and and and. Yes I flail a lot about it! Now to the final touches for my horrendously late Slayers Exchange image. ORZ
