Much of the work in Religion and Fantasy Literature has focused on interpreting the theology embedded in the narrative. I am interested in investigating the impact that Fantasy has upon the spirituality of the reader. This avenue of research leans heavily upon the study of myth and how we interpret/appropriate theological systems outside of traditional religious paradigms.

Liturgical Studies is an allied field of research. I enjoy incorporating art into worship (altars, large installations, banners). The liturgical traditions of Baptists and Congregationalists also interest me since there isn't a strong, central church authority to perpetuate rituals and theological identity.
