The Gualiname Guachichiles are a separate and independent chapter of the Guachichil Nation. Our main endeavor is cultural preservation and restoration. Much has been lost to colonization and assimilation; however, many vestiges of the knowledge still remain. In the past, our ancestors were organized into smaller bands who would name themselves based on their leaders. Hence, this group follows that traditional practice. We are the Gualiname Guachichiles. We honor that fallen warrior of the past.”
