Changes? This summer I'd like to do an overhaul of the GS site.
I'm going to be honest. I'm not caring about alot of the stuff we have on the site anymore. Don't care about reviews, jokes, movie files or anything. At the same time I can't bring myself to delete all the memories.
Would anyone be against the idea of my making the site all about our movies?
I'd put the oldschool GS site somewhere else, like www.Oldschool.Guadsquad.com or Guadsquad.com/oldschool and not have it linked to the GuadSquad.com, which would have all our films on it.
When I send people to GS.com to see our movies, I'm embaressed by alot of the high school stuff we have up. I mean, so far, the people I've shown like it, but if I get out into the real world it could cause a problem.
Livejournal has taken away any communication on GS.com, so it's really just there to post stuff that we'll find memorable or funny. Most Importantly, I'd like it to stay the hub for GS photos from all our Digital Cameras.
:::Takes a look at website:::
This site rocks lol
I can't destroy it! :-(
Aw well, I dont' think any of you care, so we'll see. I'm sure no one will miss alo of the stuff I get rid of.

Went through the server and started deleting old stuff and Bman's personal stuff that got left behind. Found some interesting stuff:
Paul's old Site
Look on the right bar and the "Potheads are shocked, study shows that marajuana is bad for you!! Read more..." Link which I think is hysterical due to who posted it...
On other news I deleted alot of gay stuff that doesn't apply anymore:
- sXe section
-documents section
-Hate mail (most was drug, cigarette, and drinking related)
-old Quotes section
Modified:
-electrifying the place: Added the year
-Story of the Squad: Largely re-written.
I'd love if Craig or someone would write up a page on DIM and being intense.
I'd also like if someone would write up a page on our love of Power metal. :-)

GuadSquad.com has a new home Well the site has pretty much been switched over to Kevin's job from Bmann's site. It won't work for everyone for a few more hours but the DNS IS working so I'm very happy. I'm probably going to go in there and delete lots of stuff soon.
***I should be updating with new photo's from our hangouts, I've fallen behind there.
***I'd also like to upload more of our films, including Burgio's Solid 2 movie, which he needs to give me next time we meet.
So bmann what are you going to do with the GS server? are you going to take it completely offline? I might be interested in continuing to upload new material to your version of the site as a backup. But if you don't care that's ok too.
Current Mood: happy

Ok we're trying to switch nameservers so "www.guadsquad.com" won't forward to Bmann's server.
The site is still at bmann's server until we are sure this is working (takes up to 72 hours to switch) so you can still go there to look at pics and such.
Bmann please don't take the site down until we're sure this is working.
As for the rest of you, please feel free to update your VERY old profiles. :-)
(cept steve and alan who just did.)
And goddamn spiral2000 profile is old...

Pics It's been brought to my attention that alot of our pics are boring. I'm kinda impartial about it but I figured I'd do a polling thing.
Do you think I should divide the pics up into "Best" and "Normal" folders for each day/social event?
Because I just took over 200 pics at Tianna's Party.... and some people may not want to look through shots of people talking and standing there just to see the interesting ones of Kevin, C-Steve, and other costumes. So I could put the best ones in one folder..... then all the normal ones in the other folder.
So please comment and let me know what you think.
By the way, 147 pics of BeerFest have now been uploaded:

GS.com is moving! Last night rob got a copy of GS.com from Bmann to move to the new server at Kevin and Rob's job! So sorry steve, I'm not going to be updating your profile until it's back up!
The site is still up, from bmann's house, and will stay that way untill the site is up and running at their job.... we'll even be using DNS entry so you can actually go to "www.guadsquad.com and it won't change into an IP address :-)
On other news, I've fallen behind on editing the beerfest pics due to school work... so I don't know when I'll finish them
UPDATE:
The Gs site is in it's new home but hasn't gone live yet. Later this week or so we're going to work on the DNS entry so it can go live. With any luck, it should run faster then ever!

-removed blemishes from people (more girls then guys)
-color corrected yellow teeth
-reduced images from 1792x1200, to about 800x600 in general.
If you want a larger person of any pict, contact me.

Pictures Alright, 3 votes later.... we may or may not set up a password thing. I guess I'll ask later.
My pict are huge. I'm talking 24x16 inches, 1792x1200 pixels. If you were too look at these on your computer, there may not be a problem, but if you look at them through your browser, they're gonna look Real big.
So, for dial up users, should we create more folders for each set of picts? 1792x1200 and 800x600, or 640x480?

Picts As I edit our photos from the summer, I find myself questioning if this stuff should be public on the GS server. Besides out usual stupid behavior, we don't need picts of minors walking around with beer either...
I mean our picts have always been public, but it's no one's business; And considering how well know we are, any enemies we have will have easy access to them.
Do you think I should leave them public? or should we password the section?

Welcome to the GuadSquad.com's Community on Livejournal!
My hopes for this community are to get more people involved in the development, updating, and overall use of GuadSquad.com.
So far, the idea is that you can post here, and one of us moderaters of the Gs site will update it. It's also a forum for ideas, opinions, and news.
