A tour van will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the small coastal town of Sibulan, where Balinsasayao Twin Lakes National Park can be found. Situated atop the mountains, the two pristine lakes, called Danao and Balinsasayao, were formed from a volcanic eruption about 100,000 years ago. Over time, its 90-meter deep crater was filled with rainwater.
Upon arrival at the drop-off site, you will be transferred to a boat. Feast your eyes on the impressive wildlife of the area, mainly composed of hundreds of species of forest trees, fruit-bearing plants, and flowers. On top of that, you also get to enjoy bird watching, as the lakes are home to a wide variety of species of birds, one of which is the most popular Flaming Sunbird. If you want to savor the moment more, you can go kayaking.
After a fun time at the lake, you will go straight to the city for the sightseeing tour, starting with the Alimyon Kapehan. This restaurant is famous for its overlooking and fascinating vista, as well as its coffee made from corn, rice, or pure beans. You will next go to Silliman University, a school that is a rare combination of colonial American and modern Filipino.
Afterward, you will head to Subida, where you can purchase items created by the master artisans and craftsmen of the island. Your last two stops will be the Cathedral Church, the oldest stone church in Negro, and the Sans Rival, a restaurant facing the ocean. You will then be heading back to your hotel from there.
