But following points should noted before making any general statement from the findings of the present study.  Very few observations are from free check up camp. Majority of the data are due to the suggested blood test following some health problems.  For many cases observations were given as > some value, in those cases for the sake of analysis we have taken next integer value as the observed value, therefore instead of mean we suggest to observe median as the measure and hence for inference nonparametric techniques are used.  In the data set, sex is mentioned as only male and female, so child category is prepared from male and female whose age is less than 15 years. Hypothesis: (1) there is no statistically significant difference between age wise D3 level for IOM, Indian lab as well as US Endocrine limits. (2) there is no statistically significant difference between sex wise D3 level for IOM, Indian lab as well as US Endocrine limits. Research paper thumbnail of A Study of Optimum Timing of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Patients Presenting with Acute Cholecystitis

Journal of Evolution of Medical and Dental Sciences

If the inflammation of the gall bladder extends to the porta hepatis the dissection becomes difficult. The normally thin minimally adherent tissue that invest the cystic duct and artery is markedly thickened and oedematous and may not readily separate from these structures with the usual blunt dissection technique. The duct wall also may be oedematous, thus making its external diameter similar to gall bladder neck and common bile duct. Moreover, operative difficulty substantially increases with time. It is believed that laparoscopic cholecystectomy in acute cholecystitis is having more operative time, more conversion rate and more chance of injury. METHODS We did an observational study to determine the safety, benefits and drawbacks of laparoscopic cholecystectomy within 72 hours of symptoms (and beyond that). RESULTS Total 325 patients underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy in acute cholecystitis. Among them 110 patients were operated within 72 hours of appearance of symptoms while 215 patients were operated upon after 72 hours of appearance of symptoms. The mean duration of surgery was significantly (p< 0.001) less in early surgery group. There was no conversion. There was no serious intra operative complication (injury) in early group. There was no statistically significant post-operative complication in either group. Post-operative stay was significantly less (p<0.004) in early laparoscopic cholecystectomy group. Period of return to work was also significantly less (p<0.001) in early group. CONCLUSIONS Early (within 72 hours of appearance of symptoms) laparoscopic cholecystectomy can be safely advocated in patients of acute cholecystitis. It does not result in increased conversion rate or increased intra operative complication. Moreover it offers benefits shorter post-operative hospital stay and early return to work than laparoscopic cholecystectomy after 72 hours of appearance of symptoms.

The Bank is an important institution of organised sector to obtain capital. The banks provide credit to different occupations. The development and share of occupation is dependent on region. In Indian economy, the occupation is divided into eight categories; that is to say, agriculture, industry, transport operators, professional and other services (personal loans, trade, finance and all others.). Population group is categorized as rural, semi urban, urban and metropolitan. Bank group is categorised as SBI and its Associates, Nationalised Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Foreign Banks and Other Scheduled Commercial Banks. We have studied the order for share of occupation in population group as well as bank group. There is no significant relation in share of personal loans in bank group credit utilisation. Also, there is no significant relation in the share of transport operators and trade in population group wise credit utilisation. Other relations which are found significant are reported in detail in the paper.

It can be inferred from the fitted models that initially in every state / national level, number of bank offices increases at an increasing rate and then it increases at a decreasing rate. Looking to the R2, VIF and DW statistic as well as the standard errors of the models, it can be said that further improvement of the models is needed / possible, which can be considered as further study.

Our experimental data showed that the crystal structure is transition from amorphous to crystalline phase with different stage depending on annealing temperature and film thickness. The values of energy gap increases from 0.15 eV to 0.18 eV with increasing Ta from 27 ºC to 200 ºC for thickness 0.5 µm and not sensitive for more 0.5µm . This variation is thought to be due to changes in degree of crystallinity and phase transition of the films structure.

In this paper the statistical comparison of share of occupations in bank group and population group wise credit utilization has been done amongst Gujarat and some selected states (selection of states is based on population more than 5 crore as per 2001 census) for the period 1998 to 2008.
It is found that there is significant difference for percentage share of each occupation in population group wise credit utilization. For bank group wise credit utilization, it is found that there is significant difference for percentage share of each occupation in population group wise credit utilization except percentage share of All Others in SBI & Its Associates credit utilization, percentage share of Trade in Foreign Banks credit utilization, percentage share of Finance in Regional Rural Banks credit utilization, percentage share of Industry, Transport Operators and Personal Loans in Other Scheduled Banks credit utilization.

Commercial Banks are the oldest banking institutions in the Organized Sector. They constitute the predominant segment of the banking system in India. They cater to the needs of sectors of a country. These banks command a major share in total banking operations.
In this paper we have tried to depict the order of share of occupation in credit utilisation as well as in GDPR for India at national level, Gujarat and some other selected states. It is found that the share of tertiary sector is more in credit utilisation in each state and India at national level as well as the share of tertiary sector is more in GDPR in each state and India at national level except Gujarat. Thereafter two regression models are fitted for GDPR using aggregate data of Gujarat, other selected states and for national level with explanatory variable tertiary in GDPR alone as well as tertiary in GDPR and tertiary in credit utilisation.

The commercial banks influence ability to save by helping different business units in earning income. The role of commercial banks in current strategy of developing country is different from the traditional setting. They have to serve as an important catalyst in the economic and social transformation of the economy. In short, the growth of the economy is tied with the growth of the commercial bank in economy. Hence in this paper, using some of the banking parameters, the statistical comparison is made between Gujarat and India at national level using the data for the period 1998 to 2008 and major findings are reported as follows:  Gujarat has less population per office, credit per office and Business per office than national level.  Gujarat is better placed as per average deposit per account as well as per capita NSDP than India.

By opening branches at various unbanked and under banked regions of the economy, banks provide opportunity to save to the public. The higher the
number of the bank branches in the economy, the higher will be the amount of deposit mobilization ceteris paribus. Rapid economic development pre suppose rapid expansion of commercial banks. Initially,
the banks were conservative and opened offices (branches) mainly in Metro Politan cities and other major cities. But after nationalization of banks, the expansion of bank offices gained momentum. Using the
relation between population size, per capita income and other important variables, an attempt has been made to fit the model for bank offices for Gujarat, some other selected states and India at national level using the data for the period 2000 to 2008. For majority of the states and India, log reciprocal model is found to be appropriate with X2 = per capita NSDP at current price and / or X3 = Population Density per square km as explanatory variables.
