Experimental results show that sodium/potassium complexes 1 and 2 are efficient catalysts for the ring-opening polymerization of lactides. Furthermore, complexes 1 and 2 have slight isotactic selectivity for the ring-opening polymerization of rac-lactide.

For the successful delivery of the project it becomes necessary to apply the formal risk management process to manage the risks and uncertainties causing cost overrun for better control on project cost and support in identifying possible solutions to avoid cost overruns in future. In this paper the existing risk management process is described.

Water is the basic unit of life and it is essential element for all living forms and the environment health. Rivers are essential for all living organism on earth. In this study, we screened the point of contamination of pollutants in Chambal river water and their concentration in different season. Most of the time water pollution defined by pollutants and industries waste but microbiological assessment is also important point to find out the contamination level. Microorganism growth are increased in summer and decreased in winter but constantly remain unchanged in all season due to heavy pollution and contamination of nitrates, sulphates, carbonates main medium for microbial growth.Analyzed data clearly revealed that at some places river water is highly polluted but overall river water along Kota City area is moderately polluted by organic as well as inorganic substances. The pollution of Chambal River is associated with the disposal of untreated domestic and sewerage effluents in river directly through so many drains from city area.

The derivative (Pr;O)Cu!Al(OPr;)4} )(2) has been synthesized by the reaction of CuCI2, KOPr; and K!Al(OPr;)4} in 1:1:1 molar ratio. The interaction of chloro bimetallic alkoxides with a number of potassium alkoxides gives mixed derivatives of the type (RO )Cu{AJ(OPr;)4}(3-9). The (Pr;O )Cu!Al(OPr; )4}(2) undergoes alcohol interchange reactions, the facile nature of which is governed by the length and branching of the hydrocarbon chains of alcohols e.g. MeOH, EtOH, PrnOH, BunOH, BusOH, ButOH. The reaction with Bu'Ol-l gives only the mixed bimetallic alkoxides. The products have been characterised by elemental analyses, molecular weights, I.R, electronic spectral and magnetic susceptibility measurements.

It is found that construction projects are facing the problem of risk and uncertainties due to the involvement of various factors because of dynamic and complex behaviour of construction activities. The desired goal of construction projects are not achieved due to these risks and uncertainties and project failure may take place in terms of delay and cost overrun. Cost overrun has become a major problem in construction projects. There are several causes which are responsible for cost overrun such as poor planning, fluctuation in cost of material, delay in procurement of material, poor decision making, changes in design, adverse climatic condition etc. To handle the problem of cost overrun, there are found various risk assessment techniques in literature. Among these techniques fuzzy logic is considered appropriate techniques to tackle the complexity of the construction projects. An exampl...

The prepared NPs were characterized by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD). It demonstrates sharp intensive peak with the increase of crystallinty and increase of the size with varying morphologies with respect to increase of calcination temperature. Antibacterial studies were done on gram negative bacteria (E.coli) and gram positive bacteria (S.aureus) by agar disc diffusion method. The zones of inhibitions were found larger for gram positive bacteria than gram negative bacteria, this mean, antibacterial MgO NPs activity more active on gram positive bacteria than gram negative bacteria because of the structural differences. It was found that antibacterial activity of MgO NPs was found it has directly proportional with their concentration.

The RP-HPLC separation was achieved on hypersil C18 column (250 mm, 4.6 mm, 5μm) using mobile phase water: acetonitrile (55:45 v/v) at flow rate of 1 ml/min at ambient temperature. Quantification was achieved with photodiode array detection at 277 nm over the concentration range of 1-10 μm/ml. The method was validated statistically and applied successfully for the determination of aceclofenac.

After physico-chemical analysis, the chemical precipitation was carried out by using metal salt doses of aluminum chloride, ferric chloride and barium sulphate. The effect of pH and metal salt doses on the precipitation of pollutants was studied. The conditions were optimized in accordance with the removal of pollutants. The removal efficiencies were measured in terms of the reduction in color, total suspended solid (TSS), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and phenols. The pollution reduction has been analyzed and compared with industrial effluent discharge standards as per central pollution control board (CPCB). A comparative study of different metal salts doses of paper mill effluents by the chemical precipitation methods indicated that maximum color reduction, phenol and COD removal was 99.60%, 53.89 and 67.28% respectively for aluminum chloride, barium...

The adsorption properties of Neem activated carbon were evaluated by Batch Mode adsorption studies. The amount of RO4 removed by NAC2 increases from 47.48 to 107.38 mg/g while increasing the initial concentration from 25 to 100 mg/L. A maximum amount of 94.96 % dye was removed at equilibrium time & at an initial dye concentration of 25 mg/L. This treatment method also enables us to recycle the maximum possible amount of spent carbon. The adsorption studies indicate that Neem activated carbon could be used as a low cost alternative to the commercial activated carbon.

The adsorption property of neem activated carbon was evaluated by treating the dilute solutions of acid violet 49 of different concentrations. The batch mode adsorption studies of neem activated carbon (NAC 2 ) on acid violet 49 indicated that NAC 2 could be effectively and conveniently used as a low cost adsorbent. The amount of dye adsorbed, qt (mg/g) per unit mass of adsorbent was found to increase from 47.92 to 171.64 mg/g with an increase in the initial dye concentration from 25 to 100 mg/L. Further, this treatment method makes it possible to recycle the maximum possible amount of spent adsorbent for further use.
