Kültürel mirasın yönetiminde öne çıkan kurumlardan biri olan müzeler, teknoloji olanakları doğrul... more Kültürel mirasın yönetiminde öne çıkan kurumlardan biri olan müzeler, teknoloji olanakları doğrultusunda hizmetlerini geliştirmekte ve toplumla olan etkileşimlerini çok yönlü bir yapıya taşımaktadır. Ayrıca bu hizmetlerin geliştirilmesi sürecinde farklı alanlardaki bilgi ve becerilere ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu alanlardan biri olan kütüphanecilik ve bilgibilim alanı müzeler için modern anlamda ihtiyaç duyulan insan kaynağının sağlanmasında ve bilgi profesyonellerinin yetiştirilmesinde öne çıkmaktadır. Çalışmada bilgi ve belge yönetimi bölümü eğitimi kapsamında öğrencilerin müzelerde görev almalarına yönelik yaklaşımlarının ve hazır bulunuşluk düzeylerinin analiz edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Belirlenen bu amaç doğrultusunda Hacettepe Üniversitesi Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümü'nde lisans eğitiminde Müzelerde Bilgi Yönetimi dersini alan öğrencilerden web tabanlı bir anket ile veri toplanmıştır. Müzelerdeki bilgi yönetimi süreçlerine yönelik farkındalık düzeylerinin daha yüksek olması nedeniyle ilgili dersi alan 70 öğrenciden 52'sinin katıldığı araştırmada öğrencilerin müzelerle etkileşimleri, müzelere ve müzelerde sunulan bilgi hizmetlerine yönelik farkındalıkları ile almış oldukları lisans derslerinin etkileriyle ilgili düşünceleri değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarında öğrencilerin müzelerle etkileşimlerinin düşük düzeyde olduğu, müze etkinliklerini daha çok sosyal medya platformlarından takip ettikleri ve almış oldukları lisans eğitimiyle müzelerde bilginin yönetim süreçlerinde hem teknik hem de yönetsel konularda görev alabilecekleri ortaya çıkmıştır. As one of the leading institutions in cultural heritage management, museums develop their services with technological approaches and they provide more interaction with society. In this regard, museums need knowledge and skills from different elds to develop such services. Library and information science, as one of these elds, stands out concerning the education of information professionals, and provide qualied human resources in a modern sense for the museums. In the light of this information, this study aims to analyse perspectives and availability levels of library and information science (LIS) students about working in the museums. To this end, research was conducted on the students who have taken Information Management in Museums course at the Hacettepe University Department of Information Management. The data were gathered from 52 of 70 students via web-based questionnaire. The results reect that LIS students display low levels of museum interaction and mostly use social media platforms to follow museum events. It is also revealed in the study that they can take an active part in both technical and managerial processes related to information management in museums. Giriş Müzeler, sundukları hizmetlerle kültürel mirasın yönetimine katkı sağlayan bellek kurumlarından biridir. Bu kurumlar çağdaş müzecilik yaklaşımlarıyla birlikte toplumla bütünleşik kurumlar haline gelmiştir. Müzeler aynı zamanda kültürel miras ürünlerinin sunumu ve eğitsel faaliyetlerle toplumun gelişimine katkı sağlayan kurumlardır. Bu doğrultuda teknolojik gelişmelerle müzelerin nesne merkezli yaklaşıma yönelik hizmetlerinin yerini ziyaretçi odaklılık ve bilgi merkezli bir yaklaşımın aldığını söylemek mümkündür (Ayaokur, Müzelerde Bilgi Yönetimi). Bu değişimle birlikte müzeler, ziyaretçilerine ulaşabilmek için farklı bilgi iletim kanallarını kullanmaya başlamışlardır.

ABSTRACT This study addresses the effects of the transformation experienced following the introdu... more ABSTRACT This study addresses the effects of the transformation experienced following the introduction of enterprise content management system configuration in the digital environment. The scope of this study comprises the integration of the opportunities provided by digital environment with the information management systems having different contents, including the information systems for administrative, financial and customer relations, the applications of enterprise communication, e-mail, records and archive management developed particularly from 1990s onwards, and the development of approaches to enterprise content management (ECM). In this study, descriptive method is used and the data were obtained through literature review. This study demonstrates that the relationship between records management and ECM applications is linear, and that there is a tendency for integrated systems oriented towards content management in the digital environment, which eventually lead to the convergence of independent enterprise information systems.

The study also finds out how universities, lecturers/academics and other institutions contribute to this initiative. For the purpose of the study, the descriptive method was used and a check-list which evaluates the OER for the digital literacy skills was created according to the literature review. Findings show that the Turkish OCW initiative has some different point of views in terms of content creation approaches and directions. However, it has interactive learning management system capabilities. The results indicated that the points can be developed for effective course interaction environments. It is also expected that the results will inform the communities about developing OERs and encourage them for further discussions and researches.

ABSTRACT Purpose ‐ The purpose of this paper is to evaluate a distance education program in the f... more ABSTRACT Purpose ‐ The purpose of this paper is to evaluate a distance education program in the field of digitization which was carried out in Turkey in 2011. In total, 805 people, comprising librarians, archivists and museum specialists, applied for three certification programs. The paper evaluates the distance education in terms of content and organization on the basis of participants' opinions and determines how and to what extent the education has changed the awareness of participants on digitization and digital content management and their level of theoretical and practical knowledge. Design/methodology/approach ‐ The research questions of the study are: What are the qualities of the participants on digitization and digital content management? In other words, what is the level of education background of the participants and what level of education do they need? What are the qualifications (in terms of content, presentation of the content and general organization) of the distance education program? To what extent has the distance education contributed to the enhancement of participants' level of awareness on digitization and digital content management, and to the improvement of theoretical and practical knowledge? Findings ‐ In the research, the literature on the issue has been reviewed, and then a theoretical model has been developed. The research findings have been presented within the framework of the theoretical model. According to the research findings, the participants have poor educational background, and most of the participants had attended such an education program for the first time. Originality/value ‐ The participants were satisfied with the program in terms of content and organization. The program has improved their level of theoretical and practical knowledge and awareness on digitization.
