hacklink (original) (raw)
Does anyone have anything definitive on this?
I'm Quite aware that Endrance is Elk's new character. And that Elk is supposedly going to be in Link. However. He hasn't appeared in the manga yet it seems, and I'm unable to find any sort of character art of him besides this
http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Elk_%28LINK%29
So if anyone has any idea/information regarding this, or any other images of Elk from .Hack//Link I'd really appreciate it.
Also, didn't they dis-continue the wavemaster class... so what's up with Tsukasa and Elk being there.. and Mistral/Mireille also, etc...?
Thanks C:

Most of you have probably heard or anticipated by now that there is an OST that will go with the .hack//Link PSP game. Until February 5th, though, there was not yet a track listing. I happened to find it as news on the main page of the official website just today. Here are the track names, which I've translated as best as I know.
( There's even Sora and Carl in here...Collapse )

Until I checked the DotHackers.net, I was not truly aware of what exactly the contents of each edition of the game would be. There are two: the regular edition, and one that is apparently called the "Quarantine pack". At least, it has the name of the japanese version of the fourth volume of the first series of four .hack games. For those of you who would be interested in pre-ordering this item, you can do so from the japanese Amazon website. Here are the contents of each edition, as listed on the DotHackers.net website:
Special edition (.hack//Link Absolute Encirclement (Quarantine) pack)
- .hack//historical Disc DVD
- .hack//re-birth Blu-ray disc: Contains the first episode of each of the following: SIGN, Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu, Roots & Liminality. Also contains GIFT, Returner, and a new recording of the .hack//Radio. This is the first time these episodes are being released in high definition.
- Epitaph: Old Testament artbook (will diclose all of the mysteries of .hack leading up until now)
- Epitaph: New Testament artbook (will reveal the never-before-seen truth and future of .hack)
Regular edition
- .hack//historical Disc DVD
For a limited number of pre-orders, both versions will come with a special bonus DVD featuring a crossover between G.U.'s Haseo and a character named Asbel Lhant from an upcoming game entitled Tales of Graces. Both characters are voiced by Sakurai Takahiro.

Even though these don't directly relate to .hack//Link, they do relate to G.U., and G.U. relates to Link. You might have read this on the DotHackers.net website, which I must thank profusely for providing this great information.
The .hack//Alcor manga has been translated by TokyoPop and was released on December 8th 2009.
On March 2nd 2010, the .hack//Cell Vol. 1 is also to be released. Vol. 2, though, will be coming in much later on January 3rd 2011.
Soon after the first volume of .hack//Cell, the .hack//4koma manga collection of parodies will be released on March 30th 2010.

Edit: Since I've found shorter clips of just the Cross Rengeki itself for both Tsukasa and Kite, and also found clips for those of Mimiru and BlackRose, I updated the links. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a shorter clip for Haseo's, but at least this gives you a bit of a look at the gameplay. :)
I haven't played the original .hack//G.U. games yet (lack of japanese voiceover was a turn-off for me), so I only know that this Rengeki is a multiple attack. Most of you probably know by now that a .hack//Link game is coming out for the PSP, and since just recently, you can download a playable demo for it. It's all in japanese, but will still work for you. You can find various sites with instructions on how to download the demo to your PSP, so I won't cover that. On YouTube, you can videos of gameplay (in a party of 2) in which the animation for the Cross Rengeki are shown:
Tsukasa, those of you who have seen all of the episodes of SIGN will be reminded of a similar scene in one of them.
Kite is as well-coordinated and efficient as ever.
Haseo literally walks all over you.
BlackRose is bossy as always.
Mimiru is cheerful and energetic.

Well, I was asked to join the Aurasuki team as a translator, and I completed the translation for chapters 7 and 8 a few weeks ago. It's not perfect, but at least they have someone else who is more fluent in japanese to look over my translations and add the finishing touches. And now that editing has been completed, let me present to you chapter 7.
