VA Disability Payment Dates: 2026 VA Pay Calendar

THE GIST

Wondering when your next VA disability check will hit your account? VA pays on the first business day of the month following each benefit month. When the 1st falls on a weekend or federal holiday, payment moves to the last business day before. The 2026 schedule below shows all 12 dates. The 2.8% COLA for 2026 took effect with the December 2025 payment (which arrived December 31, 2025).

VA Disability Pay Dates: 2026 Schedule

VA benefits are usually paid on the first business day of each month for the previous month. Here’s the full 2026 calendar:

Payment Month Deposit Date
January Fri, Jan 30
February Fri, Feb 27
March Wed, Apr 1
April Fri, May 1
May Mon, Jun 1
June Wed, Jul 1
July Fri, Jul 31
August Tue, Sep 1
September Thu, Oct 1
October Fri, Oct 30
November Tue, Dec 1
December Thu, Dec 31

Per VA disability compensation rules at VA.gov, payments are made on the first business day of the month following the benefit month, with payments shifted to the previous business day when the 1st falls on a weekend or federal holiday.

Why Some VA Payments Arrive Early

If the first of the month lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the VA issues your payment on the last business day before.

In 2026, most payments land right on the 1st, but watch January and February, which pay out at the end of the prior month.

What to Watch For in Your Bank Account

VA payments will usually appear as:

“VACP TREAS 310”
This is short for Veterans Affairs Compensation & Pension via U.S. Treasury.
