Hatzola is the Hebrew word for save or rescue and this represents the base values of our organisation.
The first Hatzola chapter was established in New York in the late 1960’s to provide rapid response emergency medical care to the community. These values have since spread worldwide with autonomous chapters established worldwide. In the UK there are seven chapters serving Manchester, Gateshead, London, Hertfordshire and Canvey Island.
Hatzola Manchester is a trading name of Hatzola Ambulance Ltd and primarily covers the Prestwich and Broughton Park communities in Manchester.
However, Hatzola Manchester is unique. All other Hatzola organisations need to invest time and effort in fundraising. In Manchester we are extremely fortunate to be solely funded by a Manchester based charity. This ensures that our members can focus on patient care; on continued training and development, and are supplied with the best equipment to carry out their roles.
