It is the product of a few publications in international conferences and journals. A thorough review of the international literature on the subject led the authors to conclude there is a very large number of opinions, thoughts and criteria from different professionals involved, directly or indirectly, with the process of designing a good Web site. To make matters even more complicated there are a number of different terms used by various scholars, scientists and professionals around the world that often refer to similar, if not the same, attributes of a Web site. However, it seems that all these differences could boil down to a systematic approach, here called evaluation template, of 53 points that the design strategies of the Web sites should be checked against. This template was tested on a significant number (232) of Web sites of Greek companies and proved it can be used to evaluate the quality of Web sites not only by technology experts but by non-experts alike. The evaluation template, suggested here, is by no means the solution to the problem of standardizing the process of evaluating a Web site but looking at other work done on the subject worldwide it is a step ahead.

The large technology vendors are all the more interested in getting involved in the Social Media game unable to afford being left out of these compact and huge potential markets. This exploratory quantitative study aims to reveal those demographics facts related with the usage of the social networks in Saudi Arabia that form the profile of the local user. The findings show a general agreement with the main conclusion of other public surveys in the country pointing to a heavy use of the social networks, at more than 85%. They also suggest that the younger the individual the more likely it is to get involved in the Social Media and in the case of female individuals, though slightly less in population, but seemingly more intense use of them. Education does not seem to affect the frequency of the use as long as the individual are at least basically educated. Likewise income and employment status only indirectly affect this use ...

With the technological advances of the past decades transforming almost every aspect of our lives, it is unsurprising that healthcare has become the subject of rapid, technologically-driven transformations under the concept of smart health. This is an umbrella term covering a range of underlying concepts and technologies, such as wearable devices and sensors and the use of big data and cloud computing in the broader context of health services and infrastructures [1]. The purpose of this study is to explore how these three main components of the smart health model, are integrated into, and affecting the smart health systems in the U.A.E.

The contemporary policy in developed countries for the disabled does not reflect only the commitment of these communities for the development and use of the special technology in support for those individuals but, also, for non-discrimination at any level. The rapid developments and relevant innovations in the ICT field, whether wired or wireless, mainly based on the broadband paradigm promise a better quality of life without exceptions and improved results in the battle against the digital divide. The communities worldwide can, reasonably, hope that the, thought as, minorities of the people with disabilities will suffer gradually less from e-exclusion thanks to ICT innovation and supportive state policies. Those addressed in this study are the access to such a system, the satisfaction on the security and authorization protocols to follow, the awareness of backup and recovery mechanisms in place, and the appreciation of the training of the IT staff. This qualitative study took place in the natural setting of the medical units' environments. A purposive sample of 40 professionals in Greece and Oman was used. The study underlines that the patients should have access to their records, whereas for the pharmacists the professionals' views are seriously divided. Every other person's access to such a record should be restricted and recorded. The professionals are satisfied with the security level, the ICTs training, and the backup and recovery mechanism in place. They almost all admitted there is an authorization schema followed to access the EMR. The main contribution of the study is the propos...
