This article aims at developing and improving a prototype of zoomorphic mobile robots that are designed to repeat the existing biological objects in nature. The authors performed a detailed analysis on the structure and dynamics of the geometrical family caterpillar movement, which is passed on a practical design implemented to perform the dynamic movement on uneven vertical surfaces. Based on the obtained analysis, the design and kinematic scheme of the movement is developed. Also, the structural control scheme via the Internet technologies that allow carrying out remote control is presented in this paper, considering the dangerous mobile robot work zones. To test the recommended solutions, the authors developed detailed 3D printed models of the mobile robot constructions for the implemented hardware. The mod...

Electrical impedance tomography is a new technology in non-invasive imaging in which the image of the inner part of conductive bodies is reconstructed by the arrays of external electrodes that are connected on the periphery of the object. The equipment is cheap, fast, and edge compatible. In this imaging method, the image of electrical conductivity distribution (or its opposite; electrical impedance) of the internal parts of the target object is reconstructed. The image reconstruction process is performed by injecting a precise electric current to the peripheral boundaries of the object, measuring the peripheral voltages induced from it and processing the collected data. In an electrical impedance tomography system, the voltages measured in the peripheral boundaries have a non-linear equation with the electrical conductivity distribution. This paper presents a cheap Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) instrument for detecting impurities in the concrete. A voltage-controlled current source, a micro-controller, a set of multiplexers, a set of electrodes, and a personal computer constitute the structure of the system. The conducted tests on concrete with impurities show that the designed EIT system can reveal impurities with a good accuracy in a reasonable time.

The study focuses on the nonlinear thermal resistances present in various locations within a distribution transformer, while taking into account variations in oil physical variables and temperature loss. Real-time data obtained from heat run tests on a 250-MVA-ONAF cooled unit, conducted by the transformer manufacturer, is used to verify the thermal designs. The observations are then compared to the loading framework of the IEC 60076-7:2005 system. The findings of this research provide a better understanding of temperature measurement in transient states, particularly in distribution transformers, and can be applied to the design and development of more efficient and reliable transformer systems.

Wind patterns never let the wind farm on the wind farm site produce its maximum capacity during hours of heavy loading conditions. A new method is presented in this research to determine the maximum size of wind farms including voltage stability margin (VSM) and wind patterns at the wind farm site in the size of a wind farm. This plan is a method to increase the maximum size of a wind farm with a limited wind generation option under certain conditions based on VSM. The proposed method is applied to the wind farm in the IEEE 14-bus network power system. The results of the new method show that the maximum size of wind farms increases when the system operates with intermittent wind control to maintain the voltage stability.

The scenario under consideration is as follows: M sensor nodes send their information packet to a common destination node D over a wireless block-fading Rayleigh channels between users and each user and D, represented by a packet-level Finite State Markov Chain (FSMC) channel model. The traffic among nodes and destination can be significantly reduced resulting in energy savings if a node overhears and combines the packets from different nodes in a simple and deterministic way before it forwards them to the destination. The key problem we try to address is how to efficiently combine the packets at each node within the designed two stage cooperative NC protocol.
