Hippolytus - Hermeneuticon - Hermetic Library (original) (raw)
Hippolytus (of Rome), Gnostic, anti-pope
“In more remote times, the constituent originating assemblies of the O.T.O. included such men as: … Hippolytus”—Liber LII Manifesto of the O.T.O.
Hippolytus appears in all versions of Liber XV, published during Aleister Crowley's lifetime. Hippolytus is on the short list of all but the first International version, and is therefore a name celebrated at all performances when the Saints Collect, unless the version is from International, is read.
