Affiliate Plug! - inu_stillness, an icontest dedicated to still icons from the series Inuyasha.

Well I waited a little, but we still don't have exactly enough entries for a theme, so we're going to have to have our first extension! Gasp! :O

Week 10 will be extended until June 9th (Saturday), @ 12:00 PM PST. Please try to submit!

If we happen to get a spur of entries tomorrow I will run the theme Sunday night, but otherwise the theme will be run next week.

Hey guys! ♥ This is another reminder to get in your Week 10: Out of the Box icons in by tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon PST. We currently have icons from 5 members, which is great, but not quite enough for a theme! Hopefully we'll be able to scrap up some more by tommorow so we won't have to extend, but I need you guys to submit to do that. :D Thanks!

Hey guys! We currently only have entries from 2 members for Week 10: Out of the Box, so of course, we need more to run a theme! Make sure to get them in by Saturday, June 2nd @ 12:00 PM PST, and you may submit up to two icons in total. Thanks!

Also, keep in mind that any icon is fine as long as the main picture is not a full 100x100 pixels. For example, unasuvas's first placing icon for week 9 would fit too. I think some people might think that the icons have to be as textured as elaborate as the examples, and while they can, they don't have to be -- so I hope you guys don't feel like this theme is too hard! XD

This's week theme shall be...

OUT OF THE BOX

Your icon must not be a 100x100 pixel square. While your icon can literally be 100x100 pixels, your layout for your icon must be something other than the usual standard 100x100 crop. By this challenge I want you to be creative with those pixels -- try cropping your picture into a circle or a square inside a square, place your image into a frame texture or something, etc. Go wild!

An example of something that would NOT be excepted is the icon I'm using right now. XD

Here are some examples of what WOULD be excepted, for reference:

However, this theme isn't just generalized to that. It is widely open to interpretation, so please don't be afraid to try anything that may come to mind! If you feel your icon may not fit the theme, feel free to ask.

There will be no selected images this week, since the theme is so general. This week you may submit up to two icons. :) You have until Saturday, June 9th @ 12:00 PM PST to submit your icons to this screened post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck everyone, and have fun!
