Method: The sample included 1695 company-year in the years 2006-2017. The Smart_PLS program was used to obtain a good-fit model of cost behavior, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to construct measurement models to validate the latent variables underlying the cost behavior model. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multiple regression analysis were used to identify the determinants of cost stickiness. Results: The results showed that adjustment costs and agency costs are positively correlated with the degree of cost stickiness, but political costs and corporate governance are negatively correlated with the degree of cost stickiness. The results of this study are useful for managers to understand cost behavior needed for planning, controlling and reducing costs.

The Technology Demonstration Component of National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (... more The Technology Demonstration Component of National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) is meant for organizing the participatory demonstrations on climate coping technologies on the farmer's fields. These demonstrations were supported with capacity building programs and extension activities to popularize selected technologies and enable there adoption in the adopted as well as the nearby villages. Integrated packages of proven technologies are demonstrated in the villages for adaptation and mitigation of the crop and livestock production systems to climate variability. The component was initiated as a part of the NICRA project in 2011 for XII Five Year Plan and was subsequently extended up to March 2020 (Phase II) and the KVKs were now to extend their activities in nearby villages. Project l To enhance the resilience of Indian agriculture covering crops, livestock and fisheries to climatic variability and change through development and application of improved production and risk management technologies. l To demonstrate site specific technology interventions on farmers fields for coping climatic variability in vulnerable districts. l To create awareness and build capacity among farmers and stake holders on resilient agriculture. Therefore along with traditional learning a special emphasis must be given on information and communication technology (ICT)-based forms of learning. E-learning has been proven effective with lesser delivery cost which is an important concern in countries like India. Reaching the wider geographically-dispersed target audience with paucity of time and other resources has to be the focus of future extension machinery. A combination of both instructor-led and self-paced e-learning approaches can be harnessed for effective delivery of the content. An attempt was made to develop an e-learning module for the farmers in which a frequent learner interaction was built to sustain attention and engage farmers while providing a motivating learning experience. The module was designed in such a way that it could be used both as a self-paced and instructor-led ...

The fact is that the professionals who have direct link with farming community lack knowledge about WTO and its impact and implications on Indian agriculture. The present study was designed to study the extent of knowledge extension personnel have about WTO, relationship of various profile characteristics with knowledge level and their training needs with respect to WTO issues. The study was carried out in randomly selected three districts of Indian state of Maharashtra namely Nashik, Aurangabad and Yavatmal. A total of 60 extension personnel were selected using stratified random sampling from District level, Subdivision level, Taluka level and Mandal level. The study found that 80 per cent of extension personnel had low to very low level of knowledge on WTO issues. Only 63.33 per cent of the extension personnel knew that WTO is an institution administering trades between nations. The
