Since 2022, #NWS has partnered with Christian Action to launch the ‘Read-to-Learn Chinese for Ethnic Minority’ Program. This initiative is designed to enhance the Chinese language skills of ethnic minority students and their parents in Hong Kong, fostering social inclusion and paving the way for brighter career prospects. This year, we kicked off Phase III of the program, welcoming around 40 ethnic minority students and their family members to a series of interactive sessions, outings and training classes. In addition to Chinese language learning, we also offer workshops that support family planning, social integration, and well-being. Our volunteers also participated in various trainings and events. Apart from in-class Chinese lessons, we organized an exciting day out for participants with our volunteers, including a trip to the Madame Tussauds at the Peak and a ride on the Peak tram, fostering language exchange opportunities. Recognizing the importance of financial planning for daily needs, we were pleased to host a workshop with a representative from our wholly-owned subsidiary, CTF Life. Tiffany Ng, CFP® AEPP® QRA® Wealth Management Director at CTF Life, shared essential tips to improve financial literacy among ethnic minority women, helping them identify and address financial concerns effectively. We are committed to supporting the community with more relevant workshops in the future.#NWSGroup #NWSCharitiesFoundation #Volunteering -
