Harmony Boards are Back!

After four years Harmony Boards return but it isn't just a simple coming back online, it is much more a rebirth of an idea.We return with new, fresh colours and a brand new concept. Harmony Boards will be a place where you find exclusive reviews for several categories such as: Music, Movie, Games and Literature. Old and new Members are invited to send in their own reviews of their favourite or least favourite products and to discuss already existing reviews. We like to provide a place, where you have an interesting discussion whether your favourite book really deserves the given rating or not. Maybe some of our future reviews will help you to buy a product you're going to love and appreciate the work behind. This is our goal in the end, that you'll have it easier to find among all the products some that really deserve to be bought.

An Idea is born

In every city you'll find shops where you can buy some Music-CDs, Movie DVD's, Games and a lot of books but how often did you buy a book or a CD you considered to be a complete waste? Most of all how often did you buy this things after some magazines recommended them? We all made at some point or another similar experiences. This is hardly about the money but much more about the time we give away by reading, watching, playing and listening to things which aren't at all that entertaining, that thought provocative like we expected. It is also about how companies will react if they see a certain product sales well while others just don't sale that well.
If millions of people buy music which is in fact no good, don't expect that companies sale rather good music if it means to lose millions of Dollars. Truth is if we consumers buy in majority only junk products, really good products won't be as much avaiable in future. Talented writers, musician's etc will never get a chance to become great. If we start to get used to medium quality we'll have a hard time to experiences great quality.
Sadly reviews from magazines aren't that often objective either.
We love good music, films, games and books that's why we thought about this all and came up with this concept. We as consumers will write reviews and discuss them. This way we can inspire us each other to buy a certain product after we followed some of the discussions.

How it works

We have two kind of memberships: Member and Reviewer.

Member:
- takes part in discussions in already existing threads
- may post threads and entries in our Harmony Tavern (Off Topic-Section)
- can become a Reviewer by sending first review to our Administration

Reviewer:
- creates new threads for their reviews

- takes part in discussions in already existing threads
- may post threads and entries in our Harmony Tavern (Off Topic-Section)

Rating System

We won't tell you how you have to go about your review, whether you put picture's in it or whether you go into every detail that's up to you. However we like to use only one rating-system considered that all members need to get a clear idea whether a product can be recommended or not. We came up with following system which should be placed at the very end of each review:

Pro and Contra List
Here you write up what you really like or hate about the product.

For Example:
Pro
- Fascinating Story
- Nice Twist

Contra
- Bad actors
- some boring scenes

Thumbs-rating
With this picture's you show us whether this product is any good, bad or about all right.

Last Point

We got you all interested and you like to take part? Visit our board and bring it back. Old-Members or New-Members can go through our Archives and can get back together with Harmonians in our Harmony Tavern to have fun. Come back on board and make it alive again.
