7/10 Kevin's ReviewNot too shabby. I didn't think I was going to like this movie because I thought the whole idea was kinda stupid and not well thought out but it actually turned into one of those chase/action type of movies. All of the characters were cool except for the girls boyfriend...who ended up being only being apart of the girlfriend getting revenge. But, whatever it's still a good film you can watch on a Friday night with a few friends.
3.5 Vic's Review
Are you serious? Was this supposed to be a comedy? Cause all i was doing was laughing. Okay well first of all, with the Ben kid, they really need to stop calling him so many names! I mean really people, i heard Buddy,Ben,Benny,Honey. What the heck? The poor boy probably wondering what his name is. And okay, i was completely confused when they were all in the car coming back from the hospital and they were talking about Ben's hospital bills and how they can't trust Jess. Ummm could someone give me a little background here?! That was stupid to tell you what happened before they moved like an hour into the frickin movie! And little Benny Boy needs to stop pointin so much. That really had me goin. And would someone please tell me how he ended up talking by the end of the movie? Was it a miracle or something? Whatever. Now on to John. He was just a big ball of sketch. Seriously. Why would you invite someone to basically live with you because he shot some crows? Okay but i will give the movie this, i liked the twist with John. But that's about all i liked. And Bobby, was there really a point for his character? And those little dead people, it was just like the grudge! Get some originality please! Anyways, only watch this one if you want a few good laughs.
8/10 Vic's ReviewI was actually very impressed with this movie. I didn't really want to see it. I can see how people think it's like Rear Window but it's not just some guy standing at the window watching his neighbor. There's a lot of action and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Shia LaBeouf and Sarah Roemer did excellent. But at the beginning, with the spanish teacher, that was a stupid reason to get house arrest. I would of done what he did too if my spanish teacher said that. David Morse was a really good actor for his part. He played it perfectly. So overall, this movie was awesome and you should see it .
Vic's Review: 4/10
Alright. So. I'll admit that the movie wasn't as bad as people said it was. But it still sucked. The first one sucked so i don't even know why i saw the second. The only creepy part was when the 2 parents in the apartment building were taking their daughter into their apartment and the dad looked back at the boy watching. That was some creepy crap. Anyways, it was confusing and i hated how they kept switching stories. What the freak. And the ending really pissed me off. That was the stupidest ending i've ever seen in my life. Me and my friends were cracking up the entire time. So if you ever need a good comedy movie with no point and to just laugh at, watch this.
Hard Candy (2005), Directed by David Slade starring Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson. This movie was one of my favorites. It's smart dialoge really kept me on my seat just to see what the 14-year old was going to do. Now I wasn't expecting her to cut the guys nuts off but you know...I guess she had to do what she had to do. I think this movie really brought us inside the world of a child molester/offender/everything you don't want your kids running into on the internet. I just found it so cool how she just beat him down with words. It really goes to show you that if you want to do somethign abotu it, it'd definatly would be risky but you could still do it.
The Wicker Man (2006), Directed by Niel LaBute starring Nicolas Cage. Well, I cna't say that this movie isn't origional...that's for sure, but I can say that just because a movie is origional doesn't mean it's going to turn out well. This movie was kind of a car accident that just blew up at the end. I mean first of all, the guy was really stupid when he didn't listen to the girl when she said don't listen to anyone because there all lying and all of that. Another thing, what the heck was with all of the freaking flower names! I was watin for one name to be like Turnip or Cactus Leaf. It was just ridiculous. THe whole animal maskes at the end were pretty retarded also. Other than being confused, I laughed the whole movie. I mean it was pretty funny because the movie is so random and you think of something like that happening in todays society and your like, wow I woulda slapped that b, and all that good stuff that people do these days. There's also a scene in the beginning where they're carring a bag with something in it and they said to open it then right when he got near it all of the old women started laughin an I swear I thought ducks were in that bag. In other words, don't waste your money on this film. If you want a comedy, eh maybe, but other than that just leave the movie sittin there.
Ew. This movie sucked. I thought it was going to be somewhat scary...WHAT was i thinking? Who knows. I was practically laughing at the whole movie! And what in the world was with all the flower & tree names? Willow?Thorn?Rose?Honey?Beech?Moss? WHAT THE FREAK?! And that whole scene with the masks, i just about died laughing. And i was waitin for Edward to slap someone or call them a potty word. Ok, to say something good about this movie, i wasn't expecting Rowan to go against the guy. I'll give them that. Anyways, don't waste your time or money on this movie.
10/10 Vic's ReviewWow. This movie was AMAZING. I loved it. Hilary Swank did perfect in this movie. I loved how it showed real life and what really happens. But that one lady, i forgot her name but the one with the red hair that worked at the school, she just got on my nerves. I wanted to slap her the whole time. This movie made me laugh & cry. In the scene where they're coming back to school and she has sparkling cider for them and the one guy reads his story, i was crying a lot there. But the movie was funny too. All the people that played the students did an awesome job. This movie was just plain amazing and you should see it!
9/10 Kevin's Review
**Freedom Writers (2007)**directed by Richard LaGravenese starring Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey. This movie was fantastic! I couldn't get over the fact that this movie actually related to people who really did live in those types of situations now a days. It kinda reminded me of the math movie about calculus. Other than that this movie was very good. The soundtrack was awesome and I wouldn't mind buying it either. If your up for one of those good movies to rent or buy someone, then this is the movie to get. You'll notice I find it hard to write a lot about movies that I really liked but yet it's easy for me to write long rants on movies that I absolutly dispised, ha.
Opean Season (2006), directed by Rodger Allers and Jim Culton starring Martin Lawrence and Ashton Kutcher. I wasn't really surprised that this movie was just ok. I mean I felt like I was at a PETA convention about animals the whole time. Anyways, it was a pretty funny movie...it had it moments I mean. Sure the only point to this movie was to get a bear used to the wild and stop the potchers from killing any of the animals, but who cares these days! I think the kids would like it a lot but I don't know about anyone over, oh I don't know, 10. The voice acting was done pretty good but I mean I can't say much for an animated movie with hardly a plot. So go rent the movie if you want but I wouldn't buy it.
4/10 Vic's ReviewEh. I have to admit this movie wasn't as bad as people say it is. It was okay but Hilary Duff can't act for crap. Haylie Duff did really good though. The plot was just stupid. It's about rich brats going poor. How stupid. And they're all "LIKE OH MY GOSH WE HAVE TO SAVE DADDY'S MAKEUP COMPANY SO WE CAN BE RICH AGAIN!". Bite me. The whole movie was so predictable too. I seriously hated how Hilary had like a bunch of her friends in it. She had Joel & Benji Madden, her body guard, and someone from Lizzie McGuire. Ugh. And why would you make a movie based off of a song? That's dumb. Sooo anyways, see it if you want, it was alright.
The Sceleton Key (2005)
, directed by Iain Softley starring Kate Hudson and Gena Rowlands. This has got to be one of my all time favorite movies! It's basically a horror, thriller, and suspenseful movie. The first time I saw it and got to the end I was like, Oh! now I get it. Yeah, it's one of those movies. This movie deserves a 9 because the acting was great and Kate Hudson did a very good job I must say. I couldn't get over the vibe of the movie, the whole dark New Orleans feel of the south. It was pretty cool. If you wanted to watch a pretty serious movie with friends and you don't want to be dissapointed then this is the movie for you!
