Georges Niang Rumors (original) (raw)
Facing his old team, where he spent two years before arriving in Cleveland this season, Niang erupted for a game-high 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc. In 31 minutes, Niang did not record a single assist, rebound or steal. He was there to simply shoot. “I think that he was really in the right place at the right time a lot,” 76ers coach Nick Nurse said. “Even when we changed coverages, it didn’t really work. And then we made a big mistake on him once when we did switch coverage, so you just can’t make those mistakes on a guy like that …. he is one of the best shooters in the league.”
