| figmaniac | **09:31 am - Why, PP, why?**Finally getting around to putting my remaining Circle stuff together and I'm starting to question my own sanity. The models? Gorgeous! Coupled with Woodland bases, they look awesome. But why, oh why, did PP have to scult Tharn in 4-6 pieces each? The Lord of the Feast? Worst assembly ever - even more than GW's Boobworm. The bits are too small to reliably pin, but won't stay together any other way. I got him done with copious amounts of Grey Stuff and glue, but damn, it shouldn't be that hard. Now I'm looking at my Tharn and weeping silently. The Wolf riders weren't too bad, nor Kaya and Laris. I shudder to think about the Blood Trackers, though, and I'm pretty sure there will be others that drive me up a tree. Just wish they could hit their stride on detail without casting so many parts. I mean, really - did Kaya really need just a tiny little hand as its own bit? Seriously?The above is a token gripe and yeah, I'm still buying and building the stuff...just needed to vent before I go back and mix up more grey stuff.Current Mood:  frustrated |

09:31 pm - New at painting Hordes:) Influenced by seeing the models every week at an RPing friend's house and admiring them, I chose a figure out the catalogue and started to have a go at painting him up. :) Here he is (not done yet, but coming on); Hexeris!  Current Mood: creative |

**05:47 am - Modeling Question**I just picked up the new Satyr model. the big thing with Hordes/Warmachine seems to me models standing on rocks, or such. I would ike to do something different though. It doesnt seem quite as appropriate for that model. Anyone have any sites with good ideas for modeling stuff of that sort. basing and such? |

**11:47 am - New Player**Wanted to say hello to everyone. I am a new Hordes player. I have been a warhammer/40k player for a long time. I started by just picking up assorted models, that i thought I wanted to paint. Now, though. I am starting a Circle Army. Currently, I have Kaya, Morvhana, A sentry Stone, some shifting stones, and a Pureblood Warpwolf. I am working from there. I have played about 3 games. Won my first, lost my 2nd two. Didnt do to shabby though. And I am still learning...:) |

Borka as the warlock, at least one Bouncer and a winter troll...possibly an Earthborn, some Long Riders, trollkin warriors with the standard and piper ('cause I'm a sucker for piper music)...not sure what else I should use.
