Okay, I just wanted to post one last FAQ section before we launch tomorrow. Please read through some of these Frequently Asked Questions and if you are still confused, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me (
snarkyscorp ), nolagal , or _aurora_sky_ , as any one of us are more than happy to help!
Now for the FAQs:
Q. How do I claim a prize?
A. Monday, November 17, 2008, we will send out an Offers Post, which will list every author and artist who has submitted an application and what they have stated they can write/draw. If there's something on the list you want, comment on the Offer Post and say so.
Twice/week we'll update the Offers Post as a repost, which shows the updated list of items you can still claim.
Q. Is there a format for claims?
A. YES. The format is as follows:
LJ Username: Author/Artist LJ Username: Claim:
For example, if I saw a 500 word fic from nolagal on the list, I'd claim as follows:
LJ Username: snarkyscorp
Author/Artist LJ Username: nolagal
Claim: 1 500 word fic
Price: $3
Q. What if I want to claim more than one thing?
A. Submit each claim separately using the format above. Try to keep your claims to 3 or less so that everyone has a chance to claim what they want. :)
Q. What happens after I claim something?
A. After submitting your claim(s), go and donate the amount to the cause of your choice. We recommend four different organizations (see our LJ Userinfo or below), but you aren't limited to those. Please donate to the Equal Rights campaign of your choice.
Once you've donated, send a receipt of your donation to
so I can approve.
Q. How much does everything cost?
A. Unless otherwise noted, fic costs are as follows:
100 words = $1 per fic
500 words = $3 per fic
750 words = $5 per fic
1000 words = $8 per fic
3500 words = $10 per fic
5000 words = $15 per fic
10000 words = $25 per fic
Art, trinkets, and knitted items are priced at the participant's discretion.
Q. Where can I donate?
A. Here are the four organizations we suggest, but if you have one that's not listed, please feel free to run it by a mod so you can support the cause. We're trying to limit this community to Equal Marriage Rights at the moment, but will likely open that up for more causes in the future.

Q. How long do I have to make a donation?
A. You may take no longer than 48 hours. If you need to make arrangements beyond this, please message one of the mods for approval. If we haven't received your receipt within 48 hours, your claim will be back up for grabs.
Q. Is there a limit to how much I can donate?
A. Heavens, no!! If you are able to donate more than the allotted suggestion, please do. :) That said, I'd like to keep claims to 3 or less so that everyone has a fair chance to get the fics and drawings they want.
Q. I want to write, draw, or offer a prize! How do I do that?
A. Post your application here at any time! Your offering(s) will be added to the next weekly post.
Q. How much can I offer?
A. As much as you want! We have folks offering a ton of fics and trinkets and others who just don't have time but were able to commit to 2 or 3 things. We will take any and everything we can get, so the more you can offer, the better!
Q. How long do I have to give my prize to the winning claimer?
A. Once the person who claimed your prize is confirmed, they'll contact you to work out any further details (like pairings, kinks, story ideas, etc). From there, you have up to 3 months to complete your prize unless otherwise stated in your application. If you are having trouble meeting your deadline, please message one of the mods immediately.
Q. What can I offer to 
hpequality ?
A. Everything! We have fics, art, trinkets, and knitted items being offered at the moment, but if you have other ideas (t-shirts, shoes, stickers, plushies, etc) please don't hesitate to offer them.
