Xylon is an electronic company focused on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design development. It was established in 1995 and is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Xylon offers a comprehensive IP cores library named logicBRICKS, and it is optimized for Xilinx FPGA architectures. Xylon’s expertise in the fields of embedded graphics, video, image processing and networking is confirmed by a large number of successful FPGA designs, which are produced by our partners and distributed worldwide. All of Xylon’s IP cores are exhaustively tested to ensure that they can be easily implemented and integrated in the customers’ designs. Xylon is a Xilinx Premier Alliance Partner. Xylon's CEO, Davor Kovacec and I had the pleasure of attending the AMD Adaptive Computing Summit in Frankfurt, where we presented our new products and services. It was a great opportunity to meet customers and exchange ideas and views on future products and solutions with AMD. Looking forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at the upcoming summit in Paris. See you there, October 10.
How to better spend a sunny autumn day than with your team, having fun and learning something new. Last Friday, Xylon embarked on an adventure called our annual team building 😊 We visited the Greenville Eco Education Estate near Samobor, where our teams were able to choose between different activities. We had the opportunity to search for clues and solve puzzles in a forest-based escape room, learn how to make skincare products using natural ingredients, and how to make an apple strudel from scratch. It was a lovely day spent in nature. A perfect way to wind down, and experience teamwork from a different perspective.#xylon #logicbricks #teambuilding

Posljednjih godina imao sam priliku susresti se s raznim autonomnim vozilima, no nikada uz mogućnost testiranja u stvarnim uvjetima, izvan unaprijed definirane testne staze. Ta prilika konačno mi se ukazala prije dva tjedna, tijekom službenog puta u Silicijskoj dolini. U društvu Jura Ivanovic, isprobao sam Waymo robotaxi u samom srcu San Francisca! Ovaj kratki video je posveta mom zauvijek srušenom skepticizmu prema budućoj potpunoj autonomiji 😊. Veliko hvala Ivana Vojnović na izvrsnoj obradi klipa. In recent years, I’ve had the chance to encounter various autonomous vehicles, but never with the opportunity to test them in real-world conditions, outside of a predefined test track. That opportunity finally came two weeks ago during a business trip to Silicon Valley. In the company of Jura Ivanovic, I tried out the Waymo robotaxi in the heart of San Francisco! This short video is a tribute to my now forever-shattered skepticism toward future full autonomy 😊. People often ask why XYLON QUATTRO is so much better than HPC-based data loggers and HIL systems. Here’s part of the answer. XYLON QUATTRO isn't just a super-powered PC expanded with off-the-shelf PCIe IO cards and software that's still under development. Instead, it is a purpose-built embedded system, designed with custom-made chips (adaptive AMD SoCs and FPGAs) that enable data manipulation at the nanosecond level—beyond the capabilities of general computing platforms. Every component, from PCBs and FPGA/SoC hardware designs to firmware, application, and test software, is entirely designed in-house at Xylon. This gives us not only top-tier performance, but also the ability to fine-tune the system to customer requirements and fully integrate with cutting-edge automotive systems. What have we been up to? Among other things, we've been busy supporting students 😉 💡 Xylon participated in the finale of LUMEN Engineering, an annual electrical engineering and computing competition for students, organized by eSTUDENT. The teams were asked to come up with a solution that required implementation in the form of an electronic device or system on one of the two topics, "Power in your own hands - your own force-feedback steering wheel" and "Calipers - where every micrometer counts", through which they could showcase their knowledge, creativity, innovation and organizational skills. The finalists came up with excellent solutions and presented them to the jury. We would like to congratulate the winning team, all the finalists, and compliment the rest of the participants for their efforts and perseverance.
