Current campaigns (original) (raw)

We take a stand on many causes and have a broad policy agenda so we cannot actively campaign on everything all at once. Instead, we run a small number of targeted campaigns in priority areas.

In our many other policy areas, we maintain a watching brief at all times, and our Policy Unit remains expert on the relevant legal and political developments and ready to respond when necessary.

If we have selected an issue to campaign on it might be because it is of particular importance at the time, because we think success is likely, because we are uniquely positioned to make a contribution, or because there are others strongly pushing an opposite argument and we need to resist it.

Action on religious schools

We want to see an end to discrimination by state faith schools and the closing down of illegal religious schools

Inclusive RE lessons

We want all young people to explore and learn about the full range of religions and non‑religious beliefs – including humanism

Persecution of humanists

We want to end international persecution of the non‑religious, including through apostasy and blasphemy laws used to silence, kill, and oppress

Ways to get involved

There are also other ways you can support both our campaigns and our wider humanist causes, such as signing a petition or writing to your MP.

Write to your MP about a humanist issue, put your name to a petition, or find another way to support our causes and campaigns.
