| | Saturday, December 18th, 2010 11:09 am - Fic finding? bmlhillenkeene would like to echo an earlier post I saw, are there any hercules fic finding communities? If there are could someone let me know where.If this isn't allowed let me know and I'll edit it out, but I've been searching for two fics I read years and years ago, when I was really into the Hercules fandom.1) It wasn't YH, but it was set when they were younger. Iphicles came back to visit, Iolaus was either staying with Hercules, or was coming over to visit everyday. Iphicles was jealous and it all eventually ended up with Iolaus running away from an arguement I think, or avoiding... Wait, wait, wait... He went fishing by himself because he knew Iphicles didn't want him around, ended up falling or trapping his foot by the river and the water level was rising because of bad rain. Iphicles and Iolaus eventually put aside their differences.2)Another Iphicles and Ioluas fic, but set when they were adult. A ll I remember is a few flashbacks to when they had met, and at least one was when they were kids. They were friends in the fic, I think they were just reminiscing of when they weren't.The fandom just seems so large and daunting upon returning, and a lot of sites I used to read on don't seem to exsist aymore. I've got the DVD of the pilot on order, & I plan to purchase all the original Herc seasons eventually, but there don't seem to be any available eps of Young Herc other than the pilot movie. (At least, I certainly hope so.) mythdefied Thanks to the incredibly kind sidewinder, who gave me space on her server, I finally have my website up again! Well, I shouldn't say again, because this is a far different version than the three previous ones. After nearly a decade of marbled backgrounds, crowded (and often animated) graphics, multicolored text, links everywhere, and funky texts, I decided it was time for a change. It used to be that our sites were how people got to know us, but now we have LJ and its clones for that, so my website need only serve to house my fanfic. Instead of revolving around massive graphics and pics, the main focus is now on the fic itself, and even that I changed somewhat.All the stories are now plain text on a white background (except in one special case where the godawful backdrop and graphics helps bring out the true horror of the badfic) and all the story notes are contained in separate files, that way people can avoid warnings if they don't want them. No summaries. Takes up space and looks bad with the new site format. However, I may start adding them to the notes pages if I feel the need.I've included two new stories ("new" translating to: "Wow, when did I write that?" and, "It's been sitting on my hard drive how long?"), which I'll probably post one of here in the next day or two.ParadoxLet me know what you think, any suggestions or definitely if you find any broken links. I had to spend a while fixing a few this morning. It was constructed on a screen resolution of 1280x1024, but I don't think smaller resolutions will have any problems.(x-posted to mythdefied.) The archive does not accept anything involving underage sex or real people.
