The Nawabs take on East Bengal in early-kick off at Maidaan

Hyderabad: Hyderabad FC are back in Indian Super League action this Saturday in their last league games of the year.

The Nawabs welcome East Bengal to the Gachibowli Stadium, on December 28, in what will be their first weekend home game of the season.

Oscar Bruzon’s East Bengal are bang in form at the moment, having secured four wins in their last five league games.

Dimitrios Diamantakos has found his feet and is one of the most clinical strikers in the country at the moment.

Brazilian attacker Cleiton Silva scored five goals in all competitions against the Yellow and Black last season and will remain the dangerous man for Hyderabad in this game.

PV Vishu, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Rakip, Nanda Kumar and Souvik Chakraborthy have all been important in the turnaround in the fortunes of the club recently.

The visitors have a strong squad, who are high on confidence at the moment.

But HFC Interim Coach Shameel Chembakath believes his side need to stay focused and keep believing.

“East Bengal have a lot of experienced players, and we know it will be a tough game,” he said.

“They will come out strongly but we will stick to our plans and work on the positives from the previous game,” Coach added.

The Nawabs fell to a gutting defeat to the Highlanders in the last game.

Edmilson Correia bagged an early brace in that game and will look to continue his form in front of goal.

The likes of Stefan Sapic, Alex Saji, Andrei Alba, Lenny Rodrigues and Cy Goddard are crucial for the side’s chances and need to step up their game as well on the night.

Abdul Rabeeh, Ramhlunchhunga, Ayush Adhikari, Muhammed Rafi, Sourav K, Manoj Mohammad and Parag Shrivas will all want to give their best when given the chance.

But Hyderabad need to stay solid at the back and will give their best, said Coach Shameel.

“I think we need to work on our game management and concentration levels on the pitch,” said the Interim Coach.

“We have a clear message to the players as to what we need from them. I feel that they understand their roles better and will put in a stronger performance in this game,” he added.
