This essay has been provided based on development of procedures to use human sources in service s... more This essay has been provided based on development of procedures to use human sources in service systems. In order to analyze the system, the combining approach of optimization, simulation and GERT networks are used. This approach, which is used in this essay, has the capability of development and being used in all administrative centers. By use of these approaches of multiple analyses, can reach to higher speed and efficiency, at service systems .In this research, by combination of optimization, simulation and GERT networks procedures to increase the customers' satisfaction and accepting the competition of public service centers, are used. This has been done in 3 steps. First, simulation is used to specify the optimized number of human forces .Second, GERT networks are used to decrease the waiting time at the system by use of human forces that are more efficient, exact and quick .This procedure has been used in customers' center in one of telecommunication centers. Analysis of results of simulation in first and second step are gained based on variables: time duration of waiting in queue, number of operators, customers' affairs centers budget and optimized number of human forces. GERT networks also are made by variables of Node (problems) value and relations of different sections. The resulted gained from simulation and GERT networks are provided in form of a proposal to the manager in order to have better performance of human forces. Both simulation and GERT networks can be used to increase the systems permanency and reduce waiting time of system, and reach a suitable performance improvement. This approach can help significantly to the systems' structuring and promotion of such system performance.

In many statistical process monitoring (SPM), quality of process or product describes by a relati... more In many statistical process monitoring (SPM), quality of process or product describes by a relationship between one or more predictor variable(s) and a nominal response variable called nominal logistic regression profile (NLRP). In this paper, two control charts including Wald and Rao score test (RST) is developed to monitor NLRP in Phase II. In addition, to evaluate the parameter estimation effect on the performance of control charts, maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) is developed in Phase I. Performance of the proposed control charts are evaluated using some simulation studies and results show that Wald control chart has better performance than RST chart under different shifts in NLRP parameters. Furthermore, to show the efficiency of the proposed approaches in real application, a case study in health-care is applied. Real case results is also showed that Wald control chart has better performance in faster detecting the out-of-control condition.

For each power system, functional reliability must be set in order to meet consumers demand for e... more For each power system, functional reliability must be set in order to meet consumers demand for energy following by reasonable costs. So power system managers must optimize their costs of the system. When the mechanical equipment is put into operation, its performance will degenerate with the increases of operation time and different type of failures may happen which can decrease the percent efficiency of the system. On the other hand in each system, there might be some predetermined basic repairs which can affect the reliability of the system. In this article, a simulation model for failures, maintenance, and repair of a thermal power plant is presented. This model can be applied for determining different scenarios, analyzing maintenance planning and scheduling basic repairs.

In this paper, the researchers have tried to find a suitable combination of human resources at on... more In this paper, the researchers have tried to find a suitable combination of human resources at one of the banks of the Islamic Republic of Iran with regard to service quality determinants using combined simulation approach and MCDM. In the first step, after reviewing the literature and interviewing the experts, the key determinants of service quality, from the viewpoint of stakeholders, were identified. In the second step, after considering different limitations, various executable scenarios of combination of human resources for improving quality of service were determined through consulting the experts. Then, the value of some of the quality attributes in various scenarios was determined by the experts and some other was predicted using simulation techniques; and finally, based on all the attributes and using TOPSIS technique, possible scenarios were compared and rated.

Next, we present a more complete methodology for knowledge discovery in data bases to be used in marketing causal modelling as a decision support tool in marketing management .This methodology is based on genetic fuzzy systems, a specific hybridization of artificial intelligence methods, that is proper for the problems we offer. Marketing intelligence system is called knowledge based marketing management support systems that is an avant-garde evolution in the use of KDD methods based on intelligence systems like this in our paper. The KDD process creates some basic questions for the professionals in this case that are completely discussed and solved next .After the theoretical presentation, this methodology is experimented on a consumer modelling application in interactive computer-mediated environments.

The degree of effectiveness of information technology (IT) in industry and the way it aids organi... more The degree of effectiveness of information technology (IT) in industry and the way it aids organizational goals are considered as very key sensitive points in industry's communications and interactions in the worldwide scale. In fact information technology has got various functions in different sectors of industry most of which are not simply quantifiable. Usually a large quantity of the information we deal with in industrial atmospheres are ambiguous and in a way fuzzy. That's why it makes it almost impossible to utilize common ways of decision-making in this area. In this research due to integrity of decision-making approach, evaluation of information technology will be based on FAHP and BSC approaches. Ways forward for BSC to express organizational hierarchy are divided into four main sections (financial, buyer, the function's internal process, and training & rate of progress). These factors are considered as functional indicators for each section to be evaluated. The FAHP approach here is mainly advised to be used to clarify the ambiguity of the information. In conclusion this integrated methodology facilitates planning in information systems and gives some clues to create a viable system of information technology in industry. That means provision of ways forward for improvements in performance of information technology in Industries.

Saffron is the most expensive spice and is highly valuable for non-oil export. Drying process is ... more Saffron is the most expensive spice and is highly valuable for non-oil export. Drying process is a critical control point with major effects on chemical and microbiological characteristics, so an appropriate drying method shall meet standard and market requirements as well as cost benefit. Different methods include traditional, freeze, solar, vacuum oven and microwave drying. Solar drying is performed in direct or indirect way. In the 1st way, sunlight is directly exposured with product chamber, while in the later, sun light is stored in solar collectors and then warm air flow is pumped to product chamber. Results by spectroscopy for colour agent (Crocin), odour agent (Saffranal) and flavour agent (Picrocrocin) indicated that solar drying represents high values. Moisture content taken as a key factor of dehydration was detected below permitted standard level. Microbiological profile in solar drying was in compliance with standard and in acceptable level. Optimum drying condition was achieved for 6-6.5 hours in 35-45 o C. Since all microbial safety and chemical quality properties of saffron are preserved in solar drying and also considering energy saving and the resulted cost benefit of this system, it could be introduced as an appropriate drying method in producing rural and collecting sites of saffron.

In this study fuzzy sets theory has been combined with material requirements planning (MRP). The aim is to achieve the best use of the available resources and the best method of manufacturing at each stage for a product along the time horizon so that customer demands are met at a minimum cost. Next, we present a more complete methodology for knowledge discovery in data bases to be used in marketing causal modelling as a decision support tool in marketing management .This methodology is based on genetic fuzzy systems, a specific hybridization of artificial intelligence methods, that is proper for the problems we offer. Marketing intelligence system is called knowledge based marketing management support systems that is an avant-garde evolution in the use of KDD methods based on intelligence systems like this in our paper. The KDD process creates some basic questions for the professionals in this case that are completely discussed and solved next .After the theoretical presentation, this methodology is experimented on a consumer modelling application in interactive computer-mediated environments.

The degree of effectiveness of information technology (IT) in industry and the way it aids organi... more The degree of effectiveness of information technology (IT) in industry and the way it aids organizational goals are considered as very key sensitive points in industry's communications and interactions in the worldwide scale. In fact information technology has got various functions in different sectors of industry most of which are not simply quantifiable. Usually a large quantity of the information we deal with in industrial atmospheres are ambiguous and in a way fuzzy. That's why it makes it almost impossible to utilize common ways of decision-making in this area. In this research due to integrity of decision-making approach, evaluation of information technology will be based on FAHP and BSC approaches. Ways forward for BSC to express organizational hierarchy are divided into four main sections (financial, buyer, the function's internal process, and training & rate of progress). These factors are considered as functional indicators for each section to be evaluated. The FAHP approach here is mainly advised to be used to clarify the ambiguity of the information. In conclusion this integrated methodology facilitates planning in information systems and gives some clues to create a viable system of information technology in industry. That means provision of ways forward for improvements in performance of information technology in Industries.

Drying process is a critical control point with major effects on chemical and microbiological characteristics, so an appropriate drying method shall meet standard and market requirements as well as cost benefit. Different methods include traditional, freeze, solar, vacuum oven and microwave drying. Solar drying is performed in direct or indirect way. In the 1st way, sunlight is directly exposured with product chamber, while in the later, sun light is stored in solar collectors and then warm air flow is pumped to product chamber. Results by spectroscopy for colour agent (Crocin), odour agent (Saffranal) and flavour agent (Picrocrocin) indicated that solar drying represents high values. Moisture content taken as a key factor of dehydration was detected below permitted standard level. Microbiological profile in solar drying was in compliance with standard and in acceptable level. Optimum drying condition was achieved for 6-6.5 hours in 35-45 o C. Since all microbial safety and chemical quality properties of saffron are preserved in solar drying and also considering energy saving and the resulted cost benefit of this system, it could be introduced as an appropriate drying method in producing rural and collecting sites of saffron.
