DC Relaunches The Power Company with New Lineup (original) (raw)

DC is bringing back the Power Company with a new lineup, starting with a two-part prelude in DC’s 2025 Black History Month anthology, DC Power: Rise of the Power Company, which will be released on January 29, and following that up with a one-shot, The Power Company: Recharged, slated for April 30.

DC Power: Rise of the Power Company will include “Company Man,” by Black Lightning writer Brandon Thomas and artists Charles Stewart III, Anthony Fowler Jr., and Ulises Arreola, a two-part story in which Josiah Power, an attorney, metahuman, and leader of the original Power Company, decides to recruit a new team, starting with Black Lightning. (Power makes a brief appearance in Black Lightning #3, which goes on sale on January 15, 2025).

Other stories in the anthology include

DC Power: Rise of the Power Company will have a main cover by Khary Randolph and Emilio Lopez and variant covers by Alitha Martinez (with Mark Morales and Andrew Dalhouse), Davi Go, and Valentine De Landro.

The Power Company: Recharged, a DC All In one-shot by writer Bryan Edward Hill and artists Khary Randolph and Alitha Martinez, pits the new team, which includes not only Black Lightning but also Batman/Jace Fox, The Signal, and Vixen, against a serial killer who is preying on metahumans. The main cover is by Edwin Galmon, with variants by Ryan Benjamin, Sanford Greene, and Paris Alleyne.

Created by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett, the Power Company debuted in JLA #61 in 2002 and then got its own series in 2002-2003.
