I started at Lorraine University (Nancy) as a lecturer in September 2014 after holding a three-year postdoc at Oxford University (as a Besse Scholar at Pembroke College, 2011-2012, and then a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson, 2012-2015). My research fellowship at Oxford has been extended until Sept. 2019. On top of being a member of the English Faculty at Oxford, I am involved in a few scholarly associations focusing on English literature (French Society for English Studies SAES; French Society for 17th- and 18th-century Studies, SEAA 17/18; French Society for Victorian Studies, SFEVE; and British Association for Romantic Studies, BARS; Association for Scottish Literary Studies, ASLS; British Association for Victorian Studies, BAVS; and British Comparative Literature Association, BCLA)

RESEARCH POSITION
My research is concerned with the concept of cosmopolitanism in literature as I seek to challenge the definition of national literature through my main focus which is translation, both in the sense of a change of languages, and of a transaction and transmission between two cultures. I am currently working on a monograph which I aim to finish by 2019.
Last year I published a textbook (on Frances Burney's Evelina) guiding students for the 2015 session of the Agrégation competitive examination for entry into the teaching profession. I have also reworked my PhD thesis (which focused on the question of limits and borders in Walter Scott's Scottish novels) into a monograph entitled Writing the Border: Walter Scott and the Travel Novel (Ecrire la Frontière: Walter Scott, ou les chemins de l'errance, out on 25 Feb. 2016) and published by the Presses Universitaires de Provence.
I am a book reviewer for BARS's Bulletin and Review, and for the "Cahiers victoriens et édouardiens".
I have also been commissioned by the CNED (http://www.cned.fr/) to write "agrégation" lessons.

TEACHING POSITIONS
In addition to being a researcher, I am also a lecturer teaching language, translation, and 18th-19th century literature at undergraduate and graduate levels.

COORDINATING POSITIONS
From 2013 to 2014, I was employed by the Humanities Division (I was formerly Acting Training Officer, April-June 2013) to help manage the DLT programme (Teacher Training for DPhil students), run workshops introducing students to the DPhil or guiding those who are struggling with their thesis. I organised research staff seminars, early-career writers' workshop (consisting in helping researchers who are about to submit an article to a high-profile journal and who wish to get constructive feedback from their peers before sending it to be reviewed) and I wrote a blog advertising events, funding, jobs, and useful links for early-career academics (http://oxfordhumanitiestraining.wordpress.com). I still contribute and help as a consultant.
I used to work as the Comparative Criticism and Translation Programme Co-Ordinator, and I am still involved in the Programme. Some of my tasks involved: Co-ordinating research events, contacting speakers, arranging rooms, travel, publicity etc...; Editing and writing content for the new website (new one under construction; current one http://oxfordcomparativeliterature.com/), including literature reviews, online discussions and podcasts; Contributing to the intellectual content of the Programme's annual conference in September and taking the lead role in its organisation, including managing the budget; Helping in the preparation of external grant applications; Managing the programme's communications both within and beyond Oxford; Contributing to the intellectual direction of the Programme.

PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS (outside academia)
Eventually, I work as a translator for an Oxford-based company called Interlingua (http://www.interlinguae.it/en/), and until 2014 I used to work as a consultant in English literature for Mouseion Limited, a British start-up aiming to facilitate the development of quality education, and foster the development of critical, engaged citizens in the global South.
