Writer's Block: Let the sun shine in

Do you believe in global warming? Do you think the sustainability concept is undervalued, valid, or taken too far?

Global warming is not the Tooth Fairy. Whether I believe in it is largely irrelevant. I've spoken with people who have themselves demonstrated that it exists as a real effect as part of their own research, and it's pretty obvious if you do more than ten minutes of poking into the subject. (Check out the Wikipedia article on the topic for a good list of references.) The only reason anyone doesn't believe in it is that they would prefer not to, because it's scary. Much easier to stick your head in the sand and listen to someone who has done absolutely no research in the area explain why it doesn't make sense.

The fact that anyone can even propose the existence of global warming as a serious topic of discussion demonstrates that we have a long way to go on sustainability.
