This work resumes the discussion about the equivalence between the careers in Basic, Technical an... more This work resumes the discussion about the equivalence between the careers in Basic, Technical and Technological Education Teaching (MEBTT) and the career in Higher Education (MS). This topic was raised because there are cases of teachers requesting career redistribution from the MEBTT to the MS, however, there is only this possibility of migration between equivalent careers. In addition to this question, there is also the demand made by the control bodies, in this case, the Federal Audit Court, which has been insistently demanding from the Federal Institutes the implementation of point control electronically. During the development of the work, the profiles of the two careers were presented and the items were compared, in accordance with the legislation, that make two positions or public functions equivalent. In the end, it is concluded, therefore, whether there is the possibility of redistribution from Federal Institutes to universities and whether it is possible not to carry out electronic point control for the MEBTT career as occurs in universities for the MS career.

We propose the calculation of the heart instantaneous frequency (HIF) from an estimate of the spe... more We propose the calculation of the heart instantaneous frequency (HIF) from an estimate of the spectrogram of the weights obtained by LMS algorithm, when implemented as a spectrum analyzer. One knows that the electrocardiogram (ECG) is characterized for its repetitive regularity, that we can call quasi-periodicity. We explore this characteristic to extract the heart instantaneous frequency of the related signal.

Adaptive systems are employed in the cancelation of noises and estimation of periodic and quasipe... more Adaptive systems are employed in the cancelation of noises and estimation of periodic and quasiperiodic signals. Amongst these signals are the electrocardiogram (ECG), impedance cardiography (ZCG), brain evoked potentials and modulated signals in telecommunication applications. In this paper we study the behavior of the weights of the LMS algorithm when used to estimate the coefficients of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of a signal under influence of low frequencies. We show theoretically that low frequency noise affects the estimation of the weights at higher frequencies. The simulation results obtained are in agreement with theoretical results. Moreover, we exemplify the problem with impedance cardiography (ZCG) signals.

The Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm is a very important tool in the estimation and filtering of... more The Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm is a very important tool in the estimation and filtering of biomedical signals. Amongst these signals are the periodic and quasiperiodic. For example, the LMS algorithm was used to estimate the coefficients of the Fourier series at a given frequency or even in a spectral analysis. In this paper we study the behavior of the weights of the LMS algorithm when the signal to be estimated acts at very low frequencies. We prove theoretically that lower frequency noise affects the estimation of the weights at higher frequencies. We carried out simulations and showed that experimental findings are in agreement with the theoretical results. Moreover, we exemplify the problem with electrocardiogram signals (ECG).

Neste artigo se propõe discorrer sobre a evolução e as mudanças ocorridas na carreira de Magistér... more Neste artigo se propõe discorrer sobre a evolução e as mudanças ocorridas na carreira de Magistério do Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico (EBTT) fazendo um viés pela educação profissional brasileira desde sua implantação até as mudanças ocorridas mais recentemente. Neste estudo procurou-se buscar o nexo entre as instituições existentes anteriormente e a criação da nova instituição, que se materializou nos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia, denominadas atualmente somente de Institutos Federais, criados no bojo da Reforma da Educação Profissional pela Lei 11.892/2008, mesma lei que redesenhou a rede federal de educação profissional, então existente no Brasil. O presente trabalho trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, que objetiva o registro da evolução histórica a respeito da criação da carreira de magistério do EBTT e da atual reforma da educação profissional.
