Physical ideas vary from culture to culture and from one historic era to the next, but in most cultures and periods of time it is clear that humans strive to improve nature. In fact there is a close relation between physical ideals and apparel styles because we are accustomed to seeing the body in clothed state. However, important differences between male and female physical ideas still exist.

Every region in India has its own specialty in terms of crafts. Barmer located in Rajasthan is lesser explored area where beautiful and intricate embroideries are practiced by women artisans. These women mainly work in unorganized and informal sector where the nature of employment is temporary. There were many factors which are responsible for their poor living standards. Therefore researcher felt the need to study and record the socio economic status of women artisans in Barmer region, who are engaged in traditional embroidery craft. The study was carried out in villages such as Binjasar, Dhanau, Goronka Tala, Lohira, Mithrau and Premka Tala. It was found that readyrnade blouses were accepted by women as it provided a quick solution in saving time, energy and money.

Working conditions are one way to enhance the productivity and also increases the satisfaction level of the workers. The apparel industries in the Rajasthan are mainly concentrated in Jaipur. There are approximately 250 apparel manufacturing units in Jaipur. The present study aims to analyze the working conditions of the low, medium and high productivity units. Data was collected from 12 apparel export industries, four from low productivity, four from medium productivity and four from high productivity using a interview schedule. The results revealed that in high productivity units, working conditions were better as compared to medium and low productivity units. Significant difference was found in factors between low, medium and high productivity units.

They give lot of importance to apparel resulting in changing behaviour of consumers. The purpose of the study is to expand knowledge of apparel buying behaviour of Indian consumers by understanding the apparel buying preferences of working women and to assess the impact of big five personality type on various dimensions which influence the apparel buying behaviour of working women like consumer characteristics, product attributes, promotion, store attributes and reference groups. Hence the study was conducted on 480 working women belonging to the three age group 26-35 years, 36-45 years and 46-55 years. The study was conducted in Jaipur which is the capital of Rajasthan state. Convenient sampling technique was used for selection of sample. Data analysis was done using percentage, mean and correlation. It was found that there is a positive correlation between the apparel buying behaviour dimensions and big five personality type. The findings of this study will contribute towards understanding of behaviour and will provide a meaningful insight to retailers, entrepreneurs and merchandisers regarding apparel buying behaviour.

The present day scenario shows that the people are more conscious about environment and also personal health. People are deeply attracted towards eco friendly fabric process because it minimizes the waste and hazardous by-product. Bamboo fabric is considered as an eco fabric because of its softness, drapability and as it is grown without using pesticides. Due to the high functional properties it can be used for medical, military, industrial, domestic, apparel and household furnishing. The purpose of this paper was to assess the knowledge of college girls towards eco fashion. To fulfill the aim 400 college girls belonging to 18-21 and 22-25 years of age group were approached to collect the data through an interview schedule from four girl’s colleges of Jaipur city. The data was analyzed through one-way ANOVA to determine the effect of demographic factors on knowledge of college students. The results of the study revealed that 64% respondents have good knowledge and 36% respondents have poor knowledge towards eco fashion. It was also found that respondent’s age, monthly family income, occupation of mother, literacy level of parents, siblings, family type and marital status have no significant effect on knowledge towards eco fashion. The study concluded that females in both age groups are more aware of the workmanship of the garment as compared to male because females are more concerned about the quality of the garment and they was check garments before purchase as compared to male.

Participants were 600 adolescent girls (200 each from low, middle and high socio-economic group) aged between 15-18 years from only girls schools of Jaipur city. They completed a questionnaire that included measures of socio-economic status, proximity of clothing to self, perceived clothing deprivation, and self-confidence. Hence, a natural dye means an extracted colored component from any organic materials such as plants, animals and minerals (Siva, 2007). Natural dyes are considered eco-friendly as these are renewable and biodegradable are skin friendly and may also provide health benefits to the wearer. Natural dyes can be used for dyeing almost all types of natural fibers and provide more elegant, soothing and aesthetic colors to the fabric. A natural dye was extracted from coconut husk powder and used to dye cotton fabric at different dyeing conditions. Cotton fabric was dyed using two different mordants with different mordanting techniques. Eco-friendly mordants were used alum and vinegar. Participants were 600 adolescent girls (200 each from low, middle and high socio-economic group) aged between 15-18 years from only girls schools of Jaipur city. They completed a questionnaire that included measures of socio-economic status, proximity of clothing to self, perceived clothing deprivation, and self-confidence. Hence, a natural dye means an extracted colored component from any organic materials such as plants, animals and minerals (Siva, 2007). Natural dyes are considered eco-friendly as these are renewable and biodegradable are skin friendly and may also provide health benefits to the wearer. Natural dyes can be used for dyeing almost all types of natural fibers and provide more elegant, soothing and aesthetic colors to the fabric. A natural dye was extracted from coconut husk powder and used to dye cotton fabric at different dyeing conditions. Cotton fabric was dyed using two different mordants with different mordanting techniques. Eco-friendly mordants were used alum and vinegar.
