Welding is one of the most popular methods of metal joining processes. The joining of the materia... more Welding is one of the most popular methods of metal joining processes. The joining of the materials by welding provides a permanent joint of the components. The objective of this research is used to determine the influence of various welding parameters on the weld bead of AISI 316 welded joint. The result shows that speed is most influencing factor to have highest bend strength and current that is to be used while welding is the most influencing factor to get higher tensile strength. In this study, 316 stainless steel were joint using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. Various current settings were used to obtain the optimum joint characteristics and minimize defects that will contribute to cost effective.

Solid waste is the useless, unwanted and discarded material resulting from day to day activities ... more Solid waste is the useless, unwanted and discarded material resulting from day to day activities in the community. Solid waste management may be defined as the discipline associated with the control of generation, storage, collection, transfer, processing and disposal of solid waste. Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management is one of the vital issues in the contemporary urban environment, more particularly in developing countries. Municipal Solid Waste generation consists of organic and inorganic waste materials generated by various activities of the society. Improper disposal of solid waste can pollute all vital components of the environment (i.e., air, land and water).Even though land filling of waste is the least favourable option in the waste management hierarchy, the majority of municipal solid waste (MSW) in many countries is still land filled. This represents waste of valuable resources and could lead to higher environmental impacts compared to energy recovered by incineration, even if the landfill gas is recovered. Using life cycle assessment (LCA) as a tool, this paper aims to find out which of the following two options for MSW disposal is more environmentally sustainable incineration or recovery of biogas from landfills, each producing either electricity or co-generating heat and electricity. The systems are compared on a life cycle basis for two functional units: 'disposal of tonne of MSW' and 'generation of 1 kWh of electricity'. The results indicate that, if both systems are credited for their respective recovered energy and recyclable materials, energy from incineration has much lower impacts than from landfill biogas across all impact categories, except for human toxicity.

This study is to establish fibroblast line of AA broiler chicken from frozen embryos. According t... more This study is to establish fibroblast line of AA broiler chicken from frozen embryos. According to the requirement of (ATCC) tests, the study depended on testing several points such as growth curve, cryopreservation, Karyotyping of chromosomes and protein translation of transfected vector. The results showed that the cells were morphologically consistent with fibroblasts and the growth curve was sigmoidal with a population doubling time (PDT) was (41.6h FE , 43.2h AFE). Cell viability was 91.8% before cryopreservation and 82.2% after thawing. Karyotyping for chromosome number was of 2n=78 and the rate of cellular diploid was 92.20±0.56% for Fresh Embryos (FE) and 91.42±0.23% After Freezing Embryos (AFE). The fluorescent protein was translated at 24h, 48 h and 72h after transfection and the colonies of fluorescent fibroblast cells were formed one months later. In conclusion, the procedure for cryopreservation and thawing of embryos as well as preparation of fibroblast cells were proven to be practicable. The fibroblast line of AA broiler from frozen embryos has been established and the valuable genetic resource of AA broiler chicken was well protected at the cellular level.

The objective is to design and manufacture a robotic cart having an ability of user recognition (... more The objective is to design and manufacture a robotic cart having an ability of user recognition (voice and gesture), capable of accompanying a person wherever he/she moves. It can be used in hospitality purpose for carrying luggage as well as in shopping malls. The robot should maneuver in any possible direction and be capable of taking 20 kg load without failure. The major design aspects of this model are the mechanical frame, steering mechanism, user recognition / sensing device, electronic interface between the software input and actual mechanical output. Microsoft Kinect, launched in November 2011 for the Xbox 360 gaming console, a motion sensing input device capable of tracking the user and taking audio data is used. The capability of the Kinect sensor to detect joints of the human body can be utilized to track a human being and follow him. Arduino Uno, an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple microcontroller board, and a development environment for writing software for the board is used to control and steer the cart in desired direction by giving differential input to the rear wheels through motors. L298 motor driver is used as an intermediate device between the microcontroller, power supply or batteries, and the motors to cater for different current requirements. To provide high strength and rigidity to the cart, high grade aluminium base and wheels are being used. For the robot to be used in different scenarios as an autonomous companion, the main aim is recognizing and tracking a human target while avoiding obstacles. A system capable of doing this efficiently and the accurate movement of the robot is the focus of this study.

To avoid this difficult task Automatic Energy Meter Reading (AMR) system is introduced. AMR is the technology that automatically collecting consumption and status of data from energy metering device and transferring the data to Electricity Board (EB) office by using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). After verifying customer"0s serial number bill will be issued then data has been stored into database. The proposed system automatically disconnect meter either load crosses concern limit or payment periods exists. It also does not provide electricity tampering and provide accurate meter reading.Traditional metering method for retrieving the energy data is not convenient and the cost of the data logging systems is high. So this paper presents of design and development of Automatic meter reading (AMR) system. AMR system is a boom for remote monitoring and control domestic energy meter. AMR system give the information of meter reading, power cut, total load used, power disconnect and tempering on request or regularly in particular interval through SMS. This information is being sent and received by concerned energy Provider Company with the help of Global system for mobile communication (GSM) network. This system not only reduces the labor cost but also increase meter reading accuracy and save hugs amount of time.

This paper estimates a petroleum import demand function for India for the period 1981:04-2006:03. In our empirical analysis of the petroleum demand function for India, cointegration and error correction modeling approaches have been used. Empirical results suggest that there exists a unique long-run or equilibrium relationship among quantities of imports of petroleum, relative import price, income variable, wholesale price index, total import duty, and foreign exchange reserve.

In this Paper, a unique design of scissor jack is compile to lift low as well as heavy load with different conditions. The main purpose and significance of this paper is to design, optimize and standardize the current toggle jack to make the task easier and reliable. Catia is used to develop and analyzed the scissor jack. Mathematical model of design procedure is also made which will suppose to help in standardization of scissor jack design by using MATLAB. The design calculation includes design of Power Screw, Link design, Design of Nut, Pin Design etc. All products from engineering should be versatile with application by maintaining its aesthetics and ergonomics. This paper mainly focused on designing and standardization of scissor jack model of automobile L.M.V. sector and trying for weight reduction of scissor jack with good strength. Also some changes are done in design procedure so that it will be useful for different models of L.M.V. in automobile industry. Car jacks are available in the market has some disadvantages such as required more energy to operate, are not suitable for woman and cannot be used on the uneven surface. So that, this design is modified for the existing car jacks in terms of its functionality and human factor consideration.

Three types of microchannels are studied -square channel with conventional and cross fins and rectangular channel with conventional fins. Constant heat flux boundary conditions were assumed on external walls of microchannel along with mass flow inlet and atm pressure outlet condition. Result of average local nusselt no distribution along the channel length were obtained as function of the fin height ratio. The analysis was carried out for different fin height and flow parameters in presence of a hydrodynamically developed, thermally developing laminar flow. The existence of optimum fin height ratio for each type of microchannel is found out in present study.

While working the weld can repair or making new weld. We will study the V-groove geometry and finding out one geometry. The V-groove geometries we will make different models on pipe varying included angle from 45 0 ,50 0 ,55 0 ,60 0 . Currently the V-geometry included angle using up to 45 0 , but from studying the Indian Welding Journal, Indian Welding Society it is observed that if included angle increased up to 60 0 angular distortion decreases. This concept were using for regular V-groove but in this project using the V-groove with slotted portion at middle site of geometry. Because from studying different papers it is compared between different V-groove geometry that is new weld ,aged weld, full repair, partial repair-I, partial repair-II. So from these geometry selecting the partial repair-I that is V-groove with slotted portion at middle site of geometry. Because this is gives more strength as well as life time. But this is only for 45 0 angle and for only V-groove not more than that. In this project will finding for 45 0 ,50 0 ,55 0 ,60 0 . The tensile test has conducted to check that maximum tensile force sustain capacity. Also to check the welding quality and other parameters conducting the ultrasonic test as well as magnetic particle inspection test. To know the life time then calculating life time by conducting fatigue test. For all these tests make the four specimens for each test. From all these tests it is observed that tensile strength increased up to 76.64% for 60 0 angle as compared to 45 0 angle. Also fatigue life strength increased up to 46.15% for 60 0 angle as compared to 45 0 angle. No any defect found in the weld area that is welding quality is very good. So 60 0 angle is better than 45 0 angle.

Smart grid uses two way flows of electricity and information and for that deployment of smart meters in large amount should be done. Nowadays development of E-energy takes place which allows customers to became active participants and control their consumption using cloud based technology and this algorithm application will show consumption with providing the recharge facility to customers. To achieve efficient status monitoring, control and billing large amount of smart meters should be deployed and produce large amount of data. Than that data will be sent to the cloud and stored as well so that customers will able to know the real time consumption of electricity usage.

This paper estimates a petroleum import demand function for India for the period 1981:04-2006:03. In our empirical analysis of the petroleum demand function for India, cointegration and error correction modeling approaches have been used. Empirical results suggest that there exists a unique long-run or equilibrium relationship among quantities of imports of petroleum, relative import price, income variable, wholesale price index, total import duty, and foreign exchange reserve.

In this Paper, a unique design of scissor jack is compile to lift low as well as heavy load with different conditions. The main purpose and significance of this paper is to design, optimize and standardize the current toggle jack to make the task easier and reliable. Catia is used to develop and analyzed the scissor jack. Mathematical model of design procedure is also made which will suppose to help in standardization of scissor jack design by using MATLAB. The design calculation includes design of Power Screw, Link design, Design of Nut, Pin Design etc. All products from engineering should be versatile with application by maintaining its aesthetics and ergonomics. This paper mainly focused on designing and standardization of scissor jack model of automobile L.M.V. sector and trying for weight reduction of scissor jack with good strength. Also some changes are done in design procedure so that it will be useful for different models of L.M.V. in automobile industry. Car jacks are available in the market has some disadvantages such as required more energy to operate, are not suitable for woman and cannot be used on the uneven surface. So that, this design is modified for the existing car jacks in terms of its functionality and human factor consideration.

Three types of microchannels are studied -square channel with conventional and cross fins and rectangular channel with conventional fins. Constant heat flux boundary conditions were assumed on external walls of microchannel along with mass flow inlet and atm pressure outlet condition. Result of average local nusselt no distribution along the channel length were obtained as function of the fin height ratio. The analysis was carried out for different fin height and flow parameters in presence of a hydrodynamically developed, thermally developing laminar flow. The existence of optimum fin height ratio for each type of microchannel is found out in present study.

While working the weld can repair or making new weld. We will study the V-groove geometry and finding out one geometry. The V-groove geometries we will make different models on pipe varying included angle from 45 0 ,50 0 ,55 0 ,60 0 . Currently the V-geometry included angle using up to 45 0 , but from studying the Indian Welding Journal, Indian Welding Society it is observed that if included angle increased up to 60 0 angular distortion decreases. This concept were using for regular V-groove but in this project using the V-groove with slotted portion at middle site of geometry. Because from studying different papers it is compared between different V-groove geometry that is new weld ,aged weld, full repair, partial repair-I, partial repair-II. So from these geometry selecting the partial repair-I that is V-groove with slotted portion at middle site of geometry. Because this is gives more strength as well as life time. But this is only for 45 0 angle and for only V-groove not more than that. In this project will finding for 45 0 ,50 0 ,55 0 ,60 0 . The tensile test has conducted to check that maximum tensile force sustain capacity. Also to check the welding quality and other parameters conducting the ultrasonic test as well as magnetic particle inspection test. To know the life time then calculating life time by conducting fatigue test. For all these tests make the four specimens for each test. From all these tests it is observed that tensile strength increased up to 76.64% for 60 0 angle as compared to 45 0 angle. Also fatigue life strength increased up to 46.15% for 60 0 angle as compared to 45 0 angle. No any defect found in the weld area that is welding quality is very good. So 60 0 angle is better than 45 0 angle.
