Introduction:Social media(such as Yahoo mail, Gmail, Academic email, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, ... more Introduction:Social media(such as Yahoo mail, Gmail, Academic email, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Skype, Viber, Line, What's app, Telegram and…) has been used globally as a key vehicle for communication. Faculty workers and their roles have been reshaped and redefined by the integration of technology into the academic workplace and for facilitate their communication must be used social medias especially in education and research objectives. So the goal of this study is assessment of Faculty lecturers' knowledge, Attitude and practice toward using social media's in nursing education and research. Method and materials: This pilot study is a descriptive-analytic and questionnaire based with three dimensions (knowledge, attitude and practice of faculty lecturers about social media usage).The study participants were a total of 35 persons that 15 of them were nursing teachers and 18 of them were PhD students that cooperate with Razi nursing faculty of Kerman medical science university in third semester of 2015.after doing the validity and reliability of questionnaire(with responses of 10 PhD students before study and Cronbach alpha of internal correlation = 0.89) and after gathering data we used SPSS version 21 for analysis data. Results: In knowledge questions about social media 42.74% of participants reported have knowledge about details of social media. In the second part, participants also showed that the mean of scores in their attitude about using social media in nursing education was 3.21(SD= 1.31) and about nursing research was 3.30(SD= 1.43) (from 1 to 5).Third part of result reported the participant's practice in social media usage in nursing education and research. The mean range of usage in education field was 13.84% and research was 4.53%. Discussion and conclusion: This study showed percentage of knowledge, attitude and practices in nursing faculty lecturers is not in a good range, Therefore, presenting further complexity and challenges for university administrators and decision makers in developing effective policies is very important issue. Make acceptance of faculty members and their thought about these objectives, is very important for Facilitating teacher-student's communications.

Background and aim: Osteoporosis is a major public health problem, particularly in women. Althoug... more Background and aim: Osteoporosis is a major public health problem, particularly in women. Although osteoporosis is a senile disease, that will be started in youth and showed in adulthood. Two important modifiable factors that increases bone mineral density are calcium-and vitamin D intake and regular sport. Prevention is an important factor for starting or delaying osteoporosis. The purpose of this study was to describe osteoporosis preventive behaviors in Iranian adolescent girls 12-15 years old in two Kerman middle schools. Method: This is a descriptive-analytic research. The population consists of 147 female students of two middle schools in Kerman with cluster random sampling in November 2012. For collecting data used a researcher made questionnaire that should be mentioned that these variables are Likert scale 1-5 and the rating type. The students answered the same questionnaire including demographics, calcium and vit D intake, sun exposure and regular sport and barriers of using them. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, ANOVA analyses and SPSS software (package of Spss / pc + + ver16). Results: According the results, about the dietary intake of calcium, 91.8% of the student (135 students) reported that they are consuming every day and there is relationship between relative income families and dairy consumption. 47.2% of girls reported do sport 20 min/day or 3.5 hrs/week and there is a relationship between age adolescent girls and regular sport. Also 47.6% of students stated that they use the sunlight to receive vitamin D and there is a significant relationship between age mothers and sun exposure in adolescent girls (P=0.036). Discussion and Conclusion: This study shows the rate of osteoporosis preventive behaviors in Iranian adolescent girls is not enough. Among defined barriers, educational and personal barriers are more important for using osteoporosis preventive behaviors. So using educational program for adolescent girls and programs for increasing interests for using dairy diet and good equipment for sport can help increase in osteoporosis prevention behaviors in girls and finally in future mothers.

Introduction: Needle stick injuries (NSIs) caused by sharp objects are the most important issue i... more Introduction: Needle stick injuries (NSIs) caused by sharp objects are the most important issue in exposure of healthcare workers especially nurses to blood borne pathogens. Nursing and midwifery students are highly exposed to the risks as well when they perform clinical trainings. The present study aimed to determine frequency of those injuries and associated factors among nursing and midwifery students affiliated to Kerman University of medical Sciences. Material and Methods: A cross sectional study method was conducted to recruit 190 nursing and midwifery students who were training in clinical settings. The data was collected using Shiao questionnaire including demographic factors and 25 specific questions regarding history of needle stick and sharp object injuries and associated factors as well as vaccinating against hepatitis B. All statistics were computed by the SPSS software using Chi-square and regression tests. Results: The study demonstrated that 30.1% of the students experienced the injuries during the previous year and 42.2% were exposed to minimum one injury during their university education. Needle stick injuries were the most common sort of injuries (71.6%). 33.9% of them reported the accident. The most frequent reason of not reporting was their confident of absence of any serious infection in their patients. Most of student were vaccinated against hepatitis B (93.6%). Students in their second educational year had experienced the most injuries. There was no significant difference between nursing and midwifery students also between students in their internship or earlier clinical trainings considering the frequency of injuries. Conclusion: The study indicated a relatively high rate of needle stick and sharp objects injuries among nursing and midwifery students in Studies University. Although hepatitis B vaccinations was extensively predicted, but it is recommended to instruct the students to prevent the injuries and intervene appropriately after injuries.

Information literacy "is a set of skills necessary for search, retrieve and effective use of various information sources. The study was descriptive-survey. The population consists of 93 librarians of payamenoor university, Shahidbahonar University and university of medical sciences. A data collection instrument is included researcher-made questionnaires. Data analysis included Test t, chi-square test and ANOVA analyses and SPSS software (package of Spss / pc + + ver21). The results of this study show the most familiarity the study population belonging to the periodicals. According the results, librarians of Shahidbahonar University and university of medical sciences were more dominant in the software library. The results of this study show there is not a significant relationship between information literacy and gender. But there is a significant relationship between information literacy with age, degree and field of study. According to the findings holding training courses for information literacy skills, equipping the libraries with suitable hardware and software, personal motivation of librarians to keep their information literacy skills updated, and official attention of libraries and universities to their staff information literacy level is the factors that involved in information literacy level of study population librarians.
