NEW YORK, February 1, 2006 — Romantically challenged take heart! Sensual Cooking Diva, Shani Castri, comes to your rescue with her new iTunes Podcast, Appetite for Seduction. In this tantalizing new bi-monthly series premiering on February 14th, Shani explores the world of aphrodisiacs—caviar, chocolate and many more—creating foods that inspire, excite and electrify. Some even require that you take your clothes off before you eat!

Traveling to New York City’s legendary culinary havens, including the infamous caviar emporium, Russ & Daughters and the chocolate Mecca, Vosges, Shani and her guests will explore the history and history-making possibilities of each aphrodisiac. Never too exhausted too help you awaken your appetite for seduction, Shani will return home to guide you through her easy, yet effective recipes. How you choose to use them will be up to you!

In her first season, Shani Castri will explore the aphrodisiac properties of chocolate, caviar, wine, vanilla, truffles, garlic (yes, garlic!), coffee, chili peppers and pomegranates. She will also dedicate and entire episode to “setting the mood” with renowned MET designer, Remco Van Vliet. Other locations include Buon Italia in NYC’s Chelsea Market, Aroma Wine Bar and Restaurant in the East Village, and an authentic Mexican bodega where the spice is right.
