Taking the current infrastructure to the next level, Airtel has partnered with @SkyToll to integrate its #AirtelIoT capabilities with Skytoll’s GNSS-based tolling system to simplify the way tolls are collected, enhancing the overall highway experience. As the journey progresses, this innovative solution will use Airtel IoT Connectivity to calculate distances travelled in real time and transmit this data through Airtel’s 5G, 4G, and 2G networks. Payments will then be processed securely via Airtel Payments Bank, and Nxtra by Airtel’s data centers will ensure uninterrupted, scalable service every step of the way. That’s not all. The entire system, integrated with critical service agencies, enables seamless troubleshooting via Airtel IQ’s communication platform, enhancing experience and traffic management. Shikha has led SCM across multiple product categories—Services, Engineering, Devices, Passive Infra. In her unique style, she always dedicates the first six months to learning through observation and understanding processes from colleagues and identifying operational gaps. The next 6 months are then dedicated to deploying solutions for improving existing practices. This methodology is her blue print to creating limitless impact. Like how she handled the 5G roll out across cities. Shikha chose a collaborative, problem-solving approach to meet targets. She gathered key teams and partners for a comprehensive discussion, using targeted questions to identify root roadblocks and classified them in buckets. Categorising issues like this gave a clear direction to respective teams on how they can solve for these problems. This structured approach strengthened third-party management, and leveraging cross-functional collaboration, brought all teams on same page - or should we say goal - towards which they worked and helped roll out 5G smoothly. Shikha’s commitment to excellence knows no boundaries and her dedication trickles down to her team.
