- Thank you for the shout out Nikhil Kamath ! We are currently working with BESCOM to enable peer to peer green energy trading via all UEI connected ev chargers. Happy to host you at our green villa in HSR layout to show you a live demo. Imagine a world where you get green energy for your home chargers, from virtual solar plants across the nation. Cross utilization of resources, while compensating green energy producers above current market prices.

So we invested in electric scooters, then ev bus then truck, hydrogen and solar rooftops. While a lot is changing in terms of adoption, the pace is slow, now smart money/hedge funds seems to be betting against the green economy? What are we missing? Also anyone in India doing anything interesting in nuclear power, please connect... Research: FinFloww - Pulse Energy reposted this

Climate, Protocol and Exponential Thinking Every time I listen to the trio of Mr. Nandan, Pramod Varma and sujith nair, a few nodes get unlocked. I have had the enviable privilege of being at this fountainhead a few times. Every time, a few vistas open up that help us to see how we can solve problems of population scale and at near 0 friction rates. Below are notes from 1.5 days spent at BeckN Node Zero Climate Conference. The protocol revolution v2 in India is still in its early days. If you are a founder or a VC, keen to explore this, drop me a line Special thanks to Anjali Bansal and Sanjay Purohit who presented on climate and exponential thinking 💡 DPI 2.0 ** India has solved access to identity - Aadhar ** India has solved access to money transfer - UPI ** India has solved access to trust - Digi Locker The 2.0 of all this is now beginning to manifest itself - DigiYatra, Credit on UPI, DigiLocker ++. It is amazing when you start to think of the number of successful companies that have scaled on the combinatorial power of these stacks - Flipkart to Zomato to Zerodha 📌 Most exciting new DPI - UEI. Think of UEI as the internet of energy. A protocol layer of bits built on atoms of the energy grid. While atoms of energy flow through cables, the bits of transfer, recon and payment continue to be archaic. As energy generation gets more de-centralised (Solar Panels for example), the ledger of energy cannot be a 2-way line anymore. Reach out to Akhil Jp and schedule atleast 2 hours 😀 🏝 Climate ▶ India’s culture has been of sustainability - We use every part of a tree, most families in India have a pile of shopping bags and re-use it. Not to forget the haggling with kabbadiwala for newspapers. This behaviour may have been prompted by constraints but is now the right behaviour ▶ The climate lens cannot be without capitalism - We need to balance all the three 3Ps - People, Profit and Planet. I personally like this so much more than ESG! ESG has become too generic and there is too much focus on G ▶ India cannot decarbonize. We can have a lower carbon footprint growth. Our founders may also be better off trying to solve this problem than a de-carbonisation problem ⏫ Exponential Thinking ▶ The Domino Effect - Mini to Mega - How can you topple a 10 meter tall domino with a 5 Cm starting domino? All you need are 13 dominos which are 1.5x taller than the previous one! Power of compounding - 1.5^13 = ~200x. (10 M is 33 ft!) a. Don’t stop the compounding b. Focus on the alignment that will ensure the kinetic energy is not dissipated c. A 100x outcome is possible with exponential thinking - Not N^2 but 2^N d. Please watch this video - https://lnkd.in/gebDTYRf▶ Exponential problems need exponential solutions ▶ DPIs can solve exponential problems as an orchestrator and not as a conductor! ▶ A garden needs a gardener, a forest needs only enabling Thanks to Sattva Consulting team for putting this together

I recently had the good fortune to attend and present some of our energy innovations at a Beckn event organized by FIDE. Pulse Energy is slowly evolving from a charging software company to a fleet electrification company, it's not about charger interoperability anymore, it's about enabling fleets to earn more by managing their vehicle flow judiciously. Key takeaways for me from the event 1. The event had some of the brightest minds working in the climate space on both tech and capital Anjali Bansal Susmit Patodia Jan Kuenne Sanjay Purohit Pramod Varma. The conference had such an awesome crowd and everyone had enlightening stories to tell about climate. 2. EV OEMs are serious about reducing their carbon emissions. Had very insightful chat with multiple OEMs leadership teams TATA.ev Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India - Unified Energy Interface is the key to unlock this at scale. 3. We launched our first pilot for peer to peer energy trading over UEI. EV chargers can now get greenfied using virtual solar plants. Was lucky enough to show the working demo to Nandan sir. 4. We enabled all our CMS integrated EV chargers to be discovered and controlled via UEI. Kazam and TruePower ev charging apps can now access these chargers and pay for them via UEI. I am inviting other CPOs and OEMs to access the network too, you don't need to sign an agreement with us, simply integrate UEI APIs and you will be able to access and pay against any UEI charger. Here is what Nandan and Nikhil Kamath has to say about open networks. Green energy transition and energy independence is going to be the next large market in India. Pulse Energy is one of the early adopters of open networks and we encourage other startups to explore the same too. It's never too late.
We have seen the impact of network thinking on e-commerce (ONDC) and mobility (Namma Yatri). But what about energy? In this episode with Nikhil Kamath, Nandan Nilekani shares his vision for the Unified Energy Interface #UEI — an open network approach to energy transactions, powered by a universal protocol like Beckn. Why does this matter? Because UEI could be the key to a unified future for clean energy, bridging all the scattered and isolated energy efforts into a common fabric or an interconnected mesh. This cohesive network can then create ripple effects that can make green energy a norm, boosting climate action in ways we have not seen before. What does this look like in real life? UEI allows energy trading of all kinds, in all directions. For example, someone with solar panels on their roof can sell extra energy back to the grid, or even trade it with their neighbours who can use it to charge their EV. It can also let you source green energy from EV charging operators! Best of all, the network is open to everyone. Individuals, small prosumers, local distribution companies and major organizations can all get involved and trade energy — creating new solutions like idle battery monetization. Early innovators like Pulse Energy are already making unified EV charging a reality through UEI in India. Plus, the Ministry of Power has recognized UEI as one of the recommended protocols for energy interoperability. We would love for you to be a part of this journey. Visit https://ueialliance.org/ or join the Beckn community on Discord https://lnkd.in/gdPjJSkB. Looking forward to the new and updated EV charging experience in Bangalore.

We are proud to announce a historic milestone for Pulse Energy: partnering with the esteemed Bangalore Electric Supply Company (BESCOM) to enhance their EV charging experience. Starting today, Pulse Energy will help BESCOM manage and operate it's EV charging infrastructure across Karnataka. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire team, and more importantly to all the customers and partners that continuously provide us feedback to be bettter. We remain committed to making every EV charging transaction in India seamless and efficient - Akhil Jp, was featured on Sattva Knowledge Institute's podcast #DecodingImpact, hosted by Rathish BalakrishnanAkhil emphasised the need to instil confidence in EV users about the reliability of public charging stations. He envisions a future where the focus shifts from charging concerns to vehicle performance and features, ensuring a seamless experience for EV owners. As Akhil says, "The question of charging is going to be a very pertinent one to be solved as quickly as possible if we need to start seeing adoption go upstream."
