Incorporated in 1966, Thermax Group is a 1 billion US$ company headquartered in Pune, India. Over the years, it has grown into a leading conglomerate in the energy and environment space and a trusted partner in energy transition. Strategically spreading its operations to 90+ countries while catering to a gamut of industries, the company offers integrated solutions in heating, cooling, power generation, water treatment and recycling, air pollution control, and chemicals with a focus on ensuring clean air, clean energy, and clean water. Thermax recently hosted a focused customer connect in Hyderabad, India, in collaboration with TSA Process Equipments (A Thermax Group Company). The event brought together key stakeholders from the pharmaceutical industry for an evening of insightful engagement, meaningful discussions, and collaborative exchange. India’s energy transition is often led by conversations around electricity, EVs, and green hydrogen. However, nearly 80% of industrial energy demand is thermal, covering process steam, heat, and drying—yet it remains largely under-represented in policy discussions. At the Outlook Planet C3 Summit, Khushboo Bhatia, CEO of Thermax Onsite Energy Solutions Limited (TOESL), highlighted this critical gap, bringing attention to an often-overlooked dimension of the transition. Assured green utilities subsidiary is driving this shift through a build-own-operate model, supported by a strong farmer fuel network and multiple operating sites, contributing significantly to CO₂ reduction. Thermax had recently participated in ACREX India 2026 in Mumbai, showcasing the latest advancements in sustainable cooling and heating solutions. On display were the wet and dry cooling range that can save up to 95% water, absorption chillers capable of reducing electricity consumption by up to 90% and heat pumps that generate hot water up to 140°C.
