𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗨𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀. Over the last decade, technology has transformed the investment market in India. Now, one can get access to a variety of asset classes like FD, MF, Stocks, Gold, Bonds, P2P, and even crypto is just a click away. Yet, there’s a big issue. About 𝟵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟬 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 - they are not efficient with their money. Some of the common behaviours of passive investors are: 1) 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: They lack the discipline of regular investing or are not doing enough, missing out on the power of compounding. 2) 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝘅: They don't have the right asset class mix and hence they are not making good enough returns. 3) 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲: They are dependent on others for investment advice, and that help is not always available or personalised to their needs. Though there is a strong intent among these users to change this, but in absence of the right product and tools, they are struggling to turn this intent into action.
