Uno Minda Limited incepted in 1958, is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of advanced automotive technology and systems to OEMs. They design and manufacture over 25 categories of components and systems for vehicles across all segments (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two- and three-wheelers) catering to both internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric/hybrid vehicles. It is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive switching systems, automotive lighting systems, automotive acoustics systems, automotive seating systems and alloy wheels. It has a leadership position in almost all the products it manufactures. Technology and innovation are the two strong pillars of the organisation, on the basis of which it has continued to lead the emerging trends in the automotive sector, over the past six decades. The Group is a global player in the automotive sector with 74 manufacturing facilities in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Germany, Spain, and Mexico, as well as 37 R&D and Engineering Centres in India, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Korea & Spain. Powering Progress Through Clean EnergyUno Minda Ltd is accelerating its energy transition to decarbonize operations and build long-term resilience across its manufacturing ecosystem. With rooftop solar already deployed across majority of our plants and a clear mandate to integrate solar into all new facilities by design, the company is strengthening its commitment to clean, cost-effective energy. Building on this foundation, Uno Minda is targeting a significant increase in its renewable electricity share—from 20% by 2025 to 60% by 2030—creating a strong pathway toward reducing Scope 2 emissions, improving energy cost visibility, and enhancing regulatory readiness. As part of its FY2025–FY2026 progress, 38 plants are now equipped with rooftop solar, supported by long-term renewable PPAs that complement onsite generation and ensure a stable supply of green energy. The company has already avoided 41,525 MTCO₂e of Scope 2 emissions (Q1–Q3 FY25–26). This transition is further strengthened through the integration of energy efficiency measures and digital monitoring systems to reduce overall electricity intensity, alongside robust governance through EHS & Sustainability frameworks, with active oversight from senior leadership and plant-level energy champions.
