You don't need a pen to be a writer, Vince. (original) (raw)

Okay, one week into 2012. I hope you've all been busy planning all of your creative efforts for the rest of the year. I am practically bursting with things I want to write. Hopefully this year will be creatively kind to all of us. And since you guys seemed interested, hopefully we can do it together!

[Wanna play?] Please click the button on this poll if you want to be put on the spreadsheet to have your participation tracked. What this means is that every month you post an update on something creative I'll mark you off on my little chart. The people at the end of the year who have a tick on every month will get a prize! (I haven't decided what yet, but it will be physical, and hopefully useful to anyone who "wins".)

[What do we do?] Everything will stay simple, since you guys seem to like it lax and I don't have any plans to be super organized on top of writing all the things! We'll play the game close to how we played it last year. Every month you guys will make posts on what you're working on or what you've completed. At the beginning of the next month I'll make a round up post detailing what's been done. You should always feel free to comment on other people's posts and encourage them. We all need encouragement!

[So what's different?] This year when I do the monthly round-ups I'll organize them by the type of project instead of doing the rundown by person. I figure you know who your friends are, but you don't always know that someone who isn't on your flist might be working on a project that is incredibly relevant to your interests.

Also, by semi-popular demand! I'll be doing themes for each month. They'll be broad, because our different projects are broad, and they certainly won't be mandatory. Just in case you're a person who likes a little direction sometimes. Each month I'll make a post with that theme and a picture and a song that relates to it. Feel free to splash around in that post. Or any post, really. ♥

[Reminders!] Don't forget to TAG EVERYTHING with your name and what kind of project or medium you're working on. If you need a tag added tag the post with the 'misc: needs tag' tag. (Did I use the word tag enough yet?)

Other than that, I'll make the theme post tomorrow. Feel free to tell your friends. And um...have fun! That's an order!
