Higher education institutions, which are the main source of new knowledge creation and dissemination, are now dominated by digital technologies. The acquisition of digital literacy skills, which is among the 21st-century competencies, is possible with the positive attitudes and skills of academics, who are instructors in higher education institutions, towards the use of digital technologies. As role models in strengthening digital literacy, academics should develop themselves in line with strategies that include elements of the digital age and more active learning, and be able to transfer these strategies to educational practices. Otherwise, it will not be possible to increase the quality of education and it is inevitable for academicians to experience career dissatisfaction with the feeling of failure. Despite the importance of the subject, digital literacy of academicians has not been adequately addressed in the literature and the relationship between academics' digital literacy levels and career satisfaction has not been focused. Based on this gap, in this study, the concept of "digital literacy" is handled specifically for academics working in universities operating in Istanbul, Türkiye, and it is aimed to contribute to the literature by revealing the relationship between academics' digital literacy and career satisfaction. The cross-sectional survey method, a quantitative research technique, was utilized in the research as a data collection and analysis tool. For this purpose, the data collected through questionnaires from 304 academics with a simple random sampling method were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was found that academics' digital literacy explained the career satisfaction variable by 28.1% at a 0.01 significance level. Finally, the significant positive relationship between academics' digital literacy and career satisfaction can be interpreted as that academics who cannot develop digital literacy skills and transfer these skills to teaching environments will not be able to achieve career satisfaction by experiencing a sense of failure because they cannot provide an education in line with the expectations of the digital age. In addition, according to the research findings, it was found that the digital literacy and career satisfaction levels of the academicians differ according to age, working time, academic title, and having a personal web page.

The purpose of this research is to understand the relationship between green business ethics, gre... more The purpose of this research is to understand the relationship between green business ethics, green finance, and sustainable business performance, and to evaluate the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in this relationship. The impact of the damage inflicted on nature’s functioning order is being felt much more strongly today. In light of these realities, companies must emphasize sustainability principles not just out of financial concerns but as a result of corporate social responsibility. In this context, focusing on the role of corporate social responsibility in sustainable business performance is the main goal of this research. Quantitative research methods, specifically the cross-sectional survey method, were employed for data collection and analysis. For this purpose, a convenience sampling method was used to select 427 white-collar employees working in industries operating in Türkiye as the sample for this study. The data collected through surveys were analyzed using the AMOS 24 statistical program. The findings underscore that green business ethics and green finance have a significant impact on corporate social responsibility and sustainable business performance. Additionally, it was determined that corporate social responsibility plays an intermediary role in shaping sustainable business performance. These findings are expected to provide an important foundation that can guide both employees and managers in developing awareness about green policies and sustainability, emphasizing the importance of green policies in working life.

From the Web of Science Core Collection, 198 articles have been included which have been examined in detail according to their distribution throughout the years, types, focused subjects, writers, institutions, publishing houses and countries. This study is critical as it analyzes the subject of BGs / international new ventures (INVs) with their ever-mounting number, and the effects in the global market during the past three decades by reviewing related research under a systemized thematic umbrella and its importance in regards to significant contributions by defining four thematic top-groups (organizational, sustainability, internationalization, research) with detailed subgroups.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many sectors, especially the education and health sector, have enco... more During the Covid-19 pandemic, many sectors, especially the education and health sector, have encountered new urgencies that they had never experienced before. One domain most affected by the pandemic has been higher education. This study aims to evaluate the distance education activities that have occurred at higher education institutions in Turkey during the pandemic. The distance education experiences of 46 academics and 115 students of 10 universities in Turkey during the pandemic were surveyed through a question form. A qualitative research method, phenomenology, was adopted and the data were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The findings show that the distance education model presents both practical difficulties and advantages. The system can be improved by considering the results obtained from the experiences and detecting the deficiencies of distance education.

Dünyadaki paradigma değişimiyle adından daha çok söz edilmesine neden olan girişimciliğin; istihd... more Dünyadaki paradigma değişimiyle adından daha çok söz edilmesine neden olan girişimciliğin; istihdama, yatırıma, ödemeler dengesine ve ülkelerin kalkınmasına katkı sağladığı bilinmektedir. Bu sebeple "girişimcilik" konusunun dünyanın diğer ülkelerinde olduğu gibi Türkiye'de de ön lisans, lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarının ders müfredatlarında yer almaya başladığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl Üniversitesi Meslek Yüksekokulunda girişimcilik dersi alan öğrencilerin, kariyer yönelimleri ve bu yönelimlerinde girişimcilik seçeneğinin payını tespit etmek amacıyla, bir soru formu uygulaması gerçekleştirilmiştir. 98 öğrenciden elde edilen geçerli veriler, nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanımı ile analiz edilerek bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. Buna göre, tüm öğrencilerin %39,80'inin kariyer yönelimi tercihleri özel sektör olurken, girişimcilik kariyeri tercihinde bulunanların oranı ise %26,53 dür. Girişimcilik kariyerine yönelmek isteyen öğrencilerin %27'sinin kadın, %73'ünün ise erkek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kadın öğrencilerin en çok özel sektör kariyeri tercihinde bulundukları, erkek öğrencilerin ise en çok girişimcilik kariyeri tercihinde bulundukları görülmüştür. Ayrıca kariyer yönelimi tercihlerinde bölümler arasında da farklılıklar olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
