BACKGROUND: Clostridium difficile has an important place among healthcare associated infections p... more BACKGROUND: Clostridium difficile has an important place among healthcare associated infections pathogens, mainly due to the widespread and inappropriate antibiotics use. Over the past 10 years an incidence of this infection has increased in the USA and European countries. Unfortunately, C. difficile infection cases in the Russian Federation are almost not register, probably due to the lack of physicians awareness and underestimation of the pathogen role in the etiology of nosocomial infections. AIM: Is to study the different specialties physicians awareness of C. difficile infection development in multidisciplinary hospitals. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A questionnaire survey of 115 physicians of two multidisciplinary hospitals in Kazan was carried out. The questionnaire included 15 questions related to etiology, transmission mechanism, risk factors, clinical presentation, diagnosis and prevention of C. difficile infection. To analyze the incidence of central serous chorioretinopathy among the Kazans population between 2009 and 2018. Methods. A descriptive epidemiological study of the incidence of Central serous chorioretinopathy of the population of Kazan between 2009 and 2018 was conducted. It included an analysis of long-term changes in the incidence of male and female population and an assessment of the structure of morbidity by sex for the entire period and in dynamics. Testing for differences was performed using the nonparametric MannWhitney U test and Chi-square test with Yates correction. Results. 831 new cases of central serous chorioretinopathy were registered in Kazan during 20092018, the ratio of men and women was approximately 1:1. In the dynamics of morbidity, the proportion of men increased from 24.2% in 2009 to 60.7% in 2018 (р=0.000002), while the proportion of women decreased from 75.8% in 2009 to 39.3% in 2018 (р=0.000002). Aim. To analyze the morbidity structure of infection caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-... more Aim. To analyze the morbidity structure of infection caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-infection) in women in the Republic of Tatarstan during the period from 1996 to 2016. Methods. We conducted a retrospective epidemiological analysis of HIV-infection morbidity in women in the Republic of Tatarstan during the period from 1996 to 2016 with the evaluation of morbidity structure by age, transmission routes, social and family status. Statistical and graphic-analytical methods were used. Extensive morbidity rates of HIV-infection in women (18 years and older) were calculated. Results. In the Republic of Tatarstan during the period from 1996 to 2016 HIV-infection was diagnosed in 6815 women with increasing incidence from 0.1 to 30.2 cases per 100 000 women. The increase of the proportion of women older than 30 years in the morbidity structure was observed during this period.
