در این مقاله برای اولین بار با استفاده از خوراک طبیعی زینان، عملکرد یک آبشار مدل تطبیق یافته R با... more در این مقاله برای اولین بار با استفاده از خوراک طبیعی زینان، عملکرد یک آبشار مدل تطبیق یافته R با شرایط بهینه آن در حالتی که "تعداد مراحل "، "نرخ جریان خوراک ورودی به آبشار"، "فاکتور جداسازی " و "نرخ بهینه خوراک ورودی به هر ماشین " مشخص و ثابت باشد، مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌گیرد. پارامترهای محاسبه شده عبارتند از: نرخ جریان ورودی و خروجی مراحل، ظرفیت جداسازی آبشار، تعداد ماشین‌های استفاده شده در هر مرحله و برش مراحل در دو حالت بهینه و غیر بهینه. الگوریتم استفاده شده در بهینه سازی، الگوریتم بر مبنای آموزش و یادگیری (TLBO) بوده و تابع هدف به صورت تابعی از توان جداسازی برای تک ماشین و پارامتر تطبیق یافته R در نظر گرفته شده است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد که توان جداسازی در حالت بهینه نسبت به حالت غیر بهینه بیشتر می‌باشد. توان جداسازی در شرایط تطبیق یافته برای جزء‌های "اول و سوم" و جزء‌های "دوم و سوم"، در حالت بهینه به ترتیب 1% و 9% بیشتر از حالت غیر بهینه می‌باشد. همچنین یک کد محاسباتی با عنوان "MISCC" برای تعیین پارامترهای آبشار ...

Very few researches have been conducted on ICT integration in the context of higher education, especially in Bangladesh. The purpose of this study is to explore the ICT integration in higher education teaching - learning in Bangladesh. This study is qualitative in design. Data were collected from students and teachers in the University of Dhaka through semi-structured interview schedule, focused group discussion and classroom observation schedule. The major findings of this study reveal that ICT is not integrated effectively in higher education teaching-learning. Furthermore, several obstacles have been identified that impede the effective integration of ICT. The obstacles are teachers’ lack of knowledge and skills, teachers’ lack of time to take preparations for class, lack of adequate equipment and access to internet and inadequate technical support. The global spread of SARS-CoV-2 with its diverse signs and symptoms manifested in COVID-19 patien... more The global spread of SARS-CoV-2 with its diverse signs and symptoms manifested in COVID-19 patients across different age groups and geographic locations perplexed the clinicians and public health experts. Emerging variants of SARS-CoV-2 through continuous mutation with a limited arsenal of treatment made the study of viral pathogenesis and factors associated with disease outcomes in a holistic approach inevitable, among which pre-existing cardiovascular complications were found to be significantly associated with adverse outcome of COVID-19. In addition, COVID-19 has already been reported to cause cardiac injury and different cardiovascular complications in patients irrespective of preexisting cardiovascular complications, which highlights the importance of recognizing the complications at the onset, although these arising complications might be an indirect effect of SARS-CoV-2 induced cytokine storm or hypoxia rather the virus itself. The internship period provides the first level of postgraduate medical training and serves as one... more The internship period provides the first level of postgraduate medical training and serves as one of the fundamental strides in every doctor’s career. An inadequate internship program in terms of duration, skills and quality may pose serious concerns on the overall healthcare sector. Hence, the aim of this study was to explore the adequacy of the duration of internship program in medical colleges of Bangladesh. Till date, any significant study has not been reported to address the issue. A cross-sectional descriptive study with pre-tested selfadministered questionnaires was performed. The study was carried out in 8 medical colleges (4 public and 4 non-government; 4 inside Dhaka and 4 outside). 300 completed questionnaires (250 interns, 50 supervisors) were statistically analyzed with SPSSv20 software.
