Reconceptualizing opportunity construct: An answer to a theoretical dilemma through a systematic ... more Reconceptualizing opportunity construct: An answer to a theoretical dilemma through a systematic literature review Reconceptualizar el constructo de oportunidad: una respuesta a un dilema teórico a través de una revisión sistemática de la literatura ABSTRACT After Shane's seminal work in 2000 which highlighted the importance of entrepreneurial opportunities, the number of studies focusing on entrepreneurial opportunity increased rapidly. Different definitions of this concept were provided in the field, ranging from subjective to objective ones, which gave rise to a lack of consensus among researchers and this, in turn, was an obstacle that slowed down theorizing in entrepreneurship. Taking into account the past trends in management sciences, it seems to be the right moment to re-conceptualize the core construct of opportunity. The major critique of existing definitions is their operationalization. To provide a better operationalization, the present study aimed to offer a more accurate conceptual definition. To this end, the study first examined current debates on opportunity, which revealed the major problem causing the debates. Then, through a systematic literature review, from among more than seven thousand documents in the Scopus database containing opportunity keywords, 74 papers were selected following different phases of filtration. The papers were analyzed in detail to extract different constructs. Then, using the framework of Hansen et al, they were classified along six dimensions. The concepts under each dimension were examined to finally provide a bigger picture of the construct of opportunity and offer a re-conceptualization. The results of this study highlight the gaps for future research and pave the ground for other systematic literature reviews in the field.

By measuring the intention of nursing students, the factors that impact their intention to start business can be recognized and the effective programs to affect their intention can be designed and developed. A sample of 56 nursing student selected and assigned to test and control groups. Data was collected at tow stage: The first down at the beginning of the first semester and before an entrepreneurial training program (ETP) performed, and the second, down at 75 days later, after ETP program was accomplished. The training program focused on opportunity recognition assumed to have positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. Because they not involve in practical aspects of start up and giving participants thought of potential barriers we could measure the effectiveness of the training program. Results shows that unlike many studies that show entrepreneurial training program positively influence entrepreneurial intentions of students, this study find very low effect of entrepreneurial training program on entrepreneurial intentions of nursing students. This paradoxical finding might be as a result of other factors such as greater chance of nursing students to be employed after graduation. Our results also showed that like entrepreneurial intention, self efficacy had not been influenced by training program. Social norms had been influenced by ETP but attitude toward behavior and perceived self efficacy had not influenced.

We propose that PSM may reduce the motivational influences of transformational leaders' behaviours on followers' OCBs in public sector organizations. Using a sample of Mexican employees we tested this proposition with structural equation modelling. Our results show that the motivational effects of transformational leadership were less for public sector followers higher in PSM than for those lower in PSM. A follow-up study in private sector organizations did not reveal a similar interaction effect. These findings appear consistent with previous research demonstrating that PSM is more aligned to the goals and values of public rather than private sector organizations. Nevertheless, the direct effects of PSM on OCBs remained in the private sector.

Genetic engineering concerns with the manipulation of DNA molecules to modify plants, animals and other creatures. Scientists are now able to isolate a gene or genome in an animal or plant to another one, based on the traits they want to transfer. The movement of a gene from a living creature to another one is called the recombinant DNA technology. The technology is developing rapidly. Regarding the specific features of biotechnology, opportunities are being created for the emergence of technological entrepreneurship projects in countries that have developed the logic science which provides the necessary capacity to establish connections to the international biotechnology network. This article seeks to find the relevance of technological innovation and entrepreneurship criteria to different technologies, including biotechnology. By improving sub-indicators of innovation and creating technological entrepreneu...

In this study, we implement a comprehensive investigation on the ideas and theories and well-known models of customer satisfaction and competitive advantages so that finally, we summarize them and introduce a integrated organization-customer connecting model called SEVO that comprises all variables introduced by other models presented so far and could be used as a key tool for strategy mapping and decision making. Incredible outputs of testing this model in a sample industry show that many factors that organizations think that are important, are not and vice versa, so it could be found that there is a urgent need to reconstruction of organizations' viewpoint about customer position in the their strategy, to prevent more waste of money, waste of time, and waste of human resources' capabilities in a wrong way. We believe in SEVO that it can serve as a powerful managerial and strategic tool to fill the critical gap and testing results confirm that.
